      Hey,

I have a problem with a website of mines. Lately, it has been loosing an imortant number of links (like 20-30 % of the while link profile). Those links are good and coming from relevant blogs with PA/DA >25  and majestic seo CF/TF > 20 .

My question is: What's the best way to deal with those lost links ? I have 2 alternatives here:

      1. I reach out to those bloggers (whith which i have good relationship) and as them to put the links back. (But i fear this can trigger a signal of bought links; smth like, "I didnt pay so i got my links removed the, and now as i paid again, here i get my links live again")

      or

      2. I forget about those link sources and go search for new, fresh opportunities

So, which option do you suggest here ?

      thanks

Link reclamation is a pretty common practice in SEO.  I believe generally, as long as you are following best practices (ie: avoid Penguin issues) and not being overly aggressive you will be okay trying to reclaim broken and/or lost links.  Links appear and disappear to sites all the time as the Internet ebbs and flows.  Consider a blog home page.  As new blog entries with external links cycle through the page, links come and go on a regular basis.

Just make sure the sites you are reclaiming links on doesn't have it's own red flags in its link neighborhood.

I think that you have to understand why these people deleted your links.

          A) Are they reading Matt Cutts and worrked that he is going to slap them for linking to you?

          B) Are you posting things on your site that they don't like?

          C) Did you competitor contact them and say something that made them take down your links.

          D) Do they think that their site looks better without links to other websites.

          E) Are they afraid of losing traffic to you or leaking linkjuice.

          F) Some other crazy idea in their head.

So, maybe the first action would be to get in touch with them to find out why the links were taken down...  This would be a hard message to write but maybe you could ask if you did something to offend them and were writing to see if that was the reason.
