Do YouTube videos have an advantage over Vimeo for Google Search? What about Wistia?

Mike Aynsely from HootSuite wrote that Google favors YouTube over Vimeo for video snippets ( https://blog.hootsuite.com/vimeo-vs-youtube-business/). Does Moz or anyone else have real data on this?
Could this be because of issues relating to submitting video sitemaps and proper schema instead?

I've often heard that google favor their own products. I'm not honestly sure.
But this was asked before - https://moz.com/community/q/seo-vimeo-vs-youtube

Google has not admitted to favouring their products over anyone else but it is logical they'd do so. Try to outrank a similar business with a google plus profile when you haven't for example. As a Photographer, I find Vimeo a far superior platform and avoids the adverts but it stands to reason, however small, that Google will have more data to share from their own products. Don't forget they earn money from the adverts on youtube too.

Hi Adam, I don't have any specific data, after a straw poll with a couple of colleagues we came to the conclusion that we've seen quite a few youtube videos featured in those snippets but there is evidence that it definitely isn't only YouTube and I couldn't argue that it's a systematic process by Google.
Justin Briggs gave a talk last year where he said that just because a result isn't showing a rich video snippet, doesn't mean that video hasn't helped that site rank, but I understand you wanting that extra SERP space.
It may well be that Google has easier access to rich data with YouTube, you could always experiment with both? Sorry I can't provide a better answer there!

Thank you. I searched, but somehow missed that one.
