What happened to YouMoz?

I was about to start looking into writing some posts for the YouMoz blog but it looks like it hasn't been active in months - what's going on?

Hi Sean - Thanks for your question, and for being a valuable member of the Moz Community!

We did indeed stop accepting submissions to YouMoz several months ago. Dr. Pete wrote a blog post that explains why this and some other very difficult decisions that affected the Moz Community were made in the latter half of 2016.  You can read about YouMoz being fazed out, specifically, here.

Hi Christy - what's the best course of action for submitting ideas/posts for the main Moz blog now that YouMoz is being phased out? Or is this only for higher profile contributors?

That's another great question, Sean! We are currently developing a way for folks to submit content straight to the main blog. It's not ready yet, so you may want to keep an eye on The Moz Blog for updates. We'll post all the details there when it is ready.

I still don't see anywhere to submit posts, but I have noticed a lot of the more recent posts are from non-Mozzers. What's their secret?!?

Is there any way I can get the drafts back from the old YouMoz. I have started a few ideas there, but now can't access them.
