Help with ranking
-
Hi Board users!
I have a site that I don't understand why its not ranking. Its called JohnnyJet.com
It has great domain authority and plenty of links. Looking at google webmaster tools I don't think there is a penalty. I have not done black hat stuff, so I am puzzled.
I have a subdomain that stores some of my old content (some of it is duplicate) http://vintage.johnnyjet.com/home.asp
The site has been around for ever, and I need help with a site audit to see what it is that I am missing. I know my long tail should rank much better.
2 questions:
1. Can you guys (board members) send me any insights if you take a peek
2. Can you tell me where to go to get an in-depth audit on my site -- I need a deep dive to get to the bottom of this

Thanks all!!

Hi there.
First of all, you should not spect that people in this forum tell you every step to rank your site. You must learn and understand a little about SEO and Google. I'd suggest you to take a deep reading in the SEO: The beginner's Guide - Moz.
Also, recently there was posted an article stating all that a Junior SEO should know. There are lots of items that you should learn: An Essential Training Task List for Junior SEOs.
At first sight, I've spotted many errors with duplicate and/or missing and/or too long and/or too short: Titles, Meta descriptions and H1/H2. I was helped by Screaming frog tool. Also, checking at some other tools, there are plenty of rankings where your site appears. Screaming for help to get ranked is easy, you also should have said which search term is your interested to get better rankings.
And a last reminder: Backlinks aren't the only reason to be ranked well. Check out this ranking factors by moz.
Hope I've helped.

Hi,
Can you provide a list of some of the long tail phrases you think you should rank better for? By helping you with a few specific examples, we can likely help you better understand what you should be doing across the board.
