Why should I continue my MOZ subscription ?

I have to agree with Chris on this one, Moz is a great tool to get insights in the issues you have. But still you have to fix the issues yourself and be patient and keep on working on this. You say you're considering to stop after the trial, well the trial was only 30 days, on average it takes at least a week for Moz to find all the issues on your site and I think for you a week at least to fix them and get some extra links.
Leaves it up to Google to give you more traffic within 16 days. That's quite unrealistic and you have to be really lucky to see in that period of time an improvement in your rankings, links or nr. of visitors from search. To give you an idea: one of the sites I'm working on is finally seeing a big increase of search traffic after we worked on their on page issues 2 months ago.
Social media within Moz Analytics is indeed not also in my opinion on of the best elements of the tool. But they're working on this. My social media colleague is using dozens of tools for our accounts so there will never be 1 tool to fits them all.
But the Moz grader is a perfect example on fixing the basics for your page. If you want to rank for a keyword on a page you probably want to check if you have used this keyword within all elements of the page.
I'm not going in to the rest of the tools you've used for now but you might want to give them a try again. You don't have to renew your subscription with Moz, I really don't mind and you have to make your own choice in this. I'm also not a paying customer anymore since this month (but have been for years) to give some other tools a chance.

Thank you for the good feedback! We are very much aware that MOZ is some magical tool that will gain us traffic. No such tool exist I think. But getting the information needed to actually help getting better in SEO should be expected. And we feel that it just wont give us the right information. Example is the keyword tool that will grade your URL and give suggestions on how to improve the Page. When the suggestions is just defaults and not an actual analyze of the page, then its hard to know whats wrong. Also the opportunities tool just list the biggest news sites. Not pinpointed at sites that will actually be realistic for link building.
We have tried the SEMrush tool but its only for US. Not for Norway.
Our trial period is 90 days. So the time is a little bit longer. I agree that you wont get huge results in 90 days. But you should see a little bit inrease.
So about getting on bigger news site. Local charity its a little big different in Norway. And it's more looked on that you will try to make money and get commercial benefit on someones weak persons behalf. Also companies are not allowed to do fund raising, You have to be a registered organization like Red Cross etc. to do it.
But anyway I see would not content building be a better way to try to get to those sites ? Then link building would not be that important. And in the end wont content building give high quality links when someone links to your content ?
And not to be too negative here. We think the Open Site explorer and followerwonk is really good tools.

Love your call to action Amelia: "Whatever you do, don't stop building high quality links to your site."

Hi Kim just want to jump in and comment on "But getting the information needed to actually help getting better in SEO should be expected"
When I read that I thought of Moz's on-page grader, for us it seems like a great tool that actually helps with us get better SEO. What has been your experience?

The charity stuff was just a 'top of the head' idea.... Sorry it won't work for you.
You must have something worth telling the world? It doesn't have to be about charity - that was just the first thing that popped into my head. What about sharing something juicy that no-one else in your niche would dare share or has access to? Not saying you should give away too much, but there may be mileage in this. Or, you could do a survey and publish the results (with PR drive to get links from newspapers).
There are loads of ways of getting in the news! You just have to be creative. I suggest you have a brain-storming meeting with your team to try and get a strategy in place.
Best of luck,
Amelia

Hi! Yes. This is exactly what I mean. This tool is just meaningless!
I grade your page, but does noe give you any suggestions on how to fix it. Its good to know that a page grade F and that we need to do something about it. But what ?? We should get a concrete answer on that page, not just a default list of how to fix pages. I also guess that everybody knows how to improve a page. But they want to know exactly whats wrong with their page.
If MOZ had a tool like this, then there would be some great value in this tool. The you could also maybe link this issues directly with community and get social help on how to fix them. Members could also get points helping pages fix them.
Another issue with this is also good grading dont help that much. I got grade A on a page and it still rank very very bad on the keyword in Google. So I want to know how I can rank is higher. If the tool had then maybe added some ideas on where i should link the page or use more social media encouragement on the page ? It would be a tool with great value.

Yes. Then its up to us to write something smart that the news papers would post. But then we talk about content marketing on how to solve this. This is something we do daily but to actually get posted its very very difficult since almost everytime write the case themselves in a different angle. But it is possible.

Agree with Kim. After 2 months of MOZ subscription and spending over 200$, we are frankly disappointed. Since everything out here is in a self learn mode, they should try and make it easier for new subscribers to make best use of the available tools. I checked out on some videos and most of it seems rushed and poorly explained.
