Non SEO Question, but hopefully some from Moz / Seattle can help me
-
I am coming to Mozcon again (yay), but want to get a organised run in.
The one I have found that seems ok is: http://www.skagitflatsmarathon.com/ not sure whether to do full or half. A full marathon day before conference might be a risk.
What I am more interested in is whether the course if flat / hilly. Decent views, good support etc
I would probably have to travel the night before and find a cheap hotel, but that doesn't bother me - but I don't wanna spend the next 20 weeks training for a poor race.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Hey, so I know that in years past there have been folks getting together for early morning group runs... I always meant to join them but never did. I'm betting the Mozcon Facebook page would be a good resource since you'll get your question in front of people who've been there. Pretty sure that's where the runners were organizing last year.

Hey Andy,
It's a very flat marathon - many people around here use it as a Boston Qualifier, as it's so flat/fast. The views will be very nice - there are hills/mountains on either side of the skagit valley. The aid stations will probably be a little less than a big city marathon.
We'll have group runs again this year during the conference, too - stay tuned!

Hi
Thanks, yeah I've done arguably the worlds greatest marathon, so every marathon I now do will never have the same atmosphere, but my first ever marathon was a quite one and they do have their benefits.
I will never qualify for Boston, maybe if I can still run a marathon at 70 I might have a chance.
I've got 19 weeks so I have decided to do it - the medal looks pretty cool.
Depending on the legs I may do one of the group runs as well.
Thanks
Andy
