Announcing Multiseat 1.0 for Moz Pro (aka Add additional users to your account!)
-
Hi there.
I have a questions though: let's say I have a MOZ seat now and it uses email@bla.com, which is under parent MOZ account of parent@bla.com.
So, I decide to get my own account and use email xyz@gmail.com, I change my email in settings, which will "un-seat" my account(email@bla.com). Now, do I get to keep all my MOZ points, past activity etc?

Sorry for confusion.
Just to clarify, what happens if I change email of my current seat account, then become owner of new account, then unlink the seat account? will I keep any history?

Yes! Thanks a lot!

What would very valuable to me is to be able to grant certain clients access to their Moz account for features that are simply not available via the PDF reports. For example, it may seem like a small matter but the competitive link metrics are easy to understand within the moz console because of how interactive the reports are. You can hover your mouse over any point to see more information ... that report in PDF format (which is all I can send a client right now) requires a phone conference to explain and give context.
Right now, as far as I can see, I can only give a client access to ALL my accounts ... which is something I don't want to do. Will we be able to add account specific access to our seats anytime soon?

consider buying them their own accounts? If it is so valuable?

Of course that's been considered. Being able to allow a client access to an account is valuable for certain. But is it worth paying $100 or more a month per client? No, it's not.

Great new feature! I was really excited when I saw it pop up. This is very useful to me and is already being put to good use.
One thing I'd also like to see is something similar to what Brian Gomez has requested, and that's being able to add a seat and set what they can see. So, I could share a seat with someone (colleague, client) who can only see certain campaigns but not the entire account.
Keep up the great work!

I have exactly the same questions as Andy Odom , I would like to limit my clients and other members to see all campaigns.

This is great! Thanks so much

Ive now ressurected my personal account now that it can be linked to our paid account. From minimal clicking around it doesn't seem like i have access to all the paid tools despite occupying one of the seats on the pro account. Should I not be able to use OSE from this account?

I would also love to see this feature. I am more so interested in restricting access to certain individuals within my agency so that they can only see the clients they are working with. This would help reduce the email regarding accounts that do not pertain to them. (If there is another way to select what accounts you get emails for, that would work for me as well.)

My need is for seats restricted to specific campaigns. As is, this is of no value to us.
-
I assume you are looking to assign a seat to your client for their own campaign?
If so, the seats are not for that purpose really. It's for different members of your team, who can have their own accounts not just to access the campaigns (it would be possible by login in with the same login), but to write blogs, answer questions in their field of expertise etc and get credit recognition personally, rather than "transfer" credit to account owner.

Actually that's not true. If you read what Chris Young said above ("The functionality to limit seat access is one of the potential new features in the backlog"), they are planning to eventually add that specific functionality.
