Page Authority or Domain Auothority? Which one is more importan when having an external link pointing to your page?

Im about to make a deal with another site. We are going to exchange some links from some blog posts. In order to make a fair deal, I assessed some metrics for our posts. Basically, this site have better Domain Authority than my site (30 vs 25), but the page authority of their blog post in which they want to insert their links pointing to my site is 1 for each of them. On the other hand, the page authority of my blog posts they are interested in is 13.
My dilema is about being resonable to set a good deal for both of us. So, my question is, which one matters the most when it comes to external links? page authority or domain authority? My intuition is that I’m in a better position than my counterpart.
Thanks.

Hi,
Domain Authority is Moz’s calculated metric for how well a given domain is likely to rank in Google’s search results.
Domain authority is based on combination of all other link metrics—linking root domains, number of total links, MozRank, MozTrust, etc.—into a single score
It’s best to use Page Authority (PA) and Domain Authority (DA) as comparative metrics when doing research in the search
results and determining which sites/pages may have more powerful/important link profiles than others. If a website has a much higher page authority than domain authority (like above) then it's a sign to me that it isn't that good. It'd be much better to have a higher domain authority ( or equal ) than page authority because it will show that the website has been up and running for a while.
So I see Domain Authority to typically be a much stronger candidate for results & Ranking. Hope it answers your question.

Though the difference b/w both metrics are explained above. I just have some reservations regarding your "Deal".
"Exchanging Links" would not be a very good approach so you have to be very careful while striking these kind of deals as it might affect both sites. There are multiple other ways in which you can get some heavy links, I know it takes time but the end result always comes in positive manner.
So, review your decision again and if it's really that necessary it's better to done a full-flash SEO audit of that site to know all the in and outs.
Hope this helps!

I'm not going to go into the DA vs. PA issue. What I am going to do is focus on the issue Umar brings up. That's much more of a concern than the "Science" of DA vs PA since those are really only a tiny consideration across a much broader number of ranking, authority, quality, relevance and trust factors for links from one site to another and not something you would even be able to figure out if you thought it mattered.
The risk of cross-linking the way you described on the other hand, is something that could risk both sites being penalized. How much is the deal worth when considering what the harm would be if either, or both sites were penalized?
Gamble if you want. Just recognize the price paid for gambling that gets snagged in Google's spam trap.
