Hi Joseph,

If you just C/P comedians bios, I think it will be very difficult to have good rankings in the SEPRs since you are not giving any new value to users so your website will be like hundreds of other sites who just C/P their bios.

Maybe is better idea to write about this comedians in your own way in order to provide unique content and valuable, new informations to users.  I know it's a difficult and time consuming job, but in the long run it can be valuable.

If you were going to canonicalize, you'd be canonicalizing to the comedian's own websites where the original bio about them probably lives. It can be tricky when using bios, since you want to make sure that's okay with the person. I'd suggest two things: 1) Either rewriting their bios and having them approve the bios before you post them on your site or 2) Adding other info about each comedian besides their regular bios that makes them unique.
