And hello to you too. 🙂

Be sure to check out the Moz blog.  I should warn you ... a trial is awesome but their tool is pretty addictive so be prepared to pay for it. 🙂

        And good luck !

Welcome to Moz! I love your website - very lovely. I was poking around for a content area - a blog, maybe some videos, articles, interactive content, etc. but didn't find anything (although I might not have known where to look). In the modern web world, attracting links, shares, attention, and media is challenging - there's a lot of competition out there, and I think you might be in a niche where that makes sense. I realize it's not entirely analogous, but checking out http://www.beardbrand.com/ and what they're doing content-wise might be helpful.

          Wish you all the best!

"but like many companies out there feel a bit overwhelmed by the prospect of showing up on the first page of google/bing searches."

It happens, lol. Join the millions out there who feel the same. But, unlike those millions, you have taken a great start by joining one of the leading sources and authorities on SEO.

When exploring the world of SEO, it's always easier to focus on the basics first. Love the look of the website, but from the eyes of a search engine, it offers little in describing what your site is about. Here is a sample from one of my favorite tools: http://seo-browser.com/index.php?address=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.leafandspoon.com%2F&button0.x=63&button0.y=15&button0=Simple

Using SEO-browser allows you to see you site like a search engine does. From what I can tell, your main keyword of choice is "loose leaf tea". There are so many areas where the SEO of your site can be focused towards this keyword, that it is not taking advantage of. Pay careful attention to the layouts and headings rendered out by your shopping cart system. If you have a coding guy on staff, might want to have him hack it a bit  🙂

              Example 2:
              http://www.leafandspoon.com/black
Page title: Leaf and Spoon: Black
Meta description: Buy fresh, premium quality loose leaf tea online from Leaf & Spoon. Dedicated to providing outstanding customer service, and a shopping experience that is quick and simple. Just the way tea should be.

              Revised:
Page title: Black Loose Leaf Tea - Shop Online
Meta description: Shop online for the various types and brands of black loose leaf tea offered by Leaf and Spoon. (add in a few of the most popular types here) Earl Grey, Dargeeling, English breakfast tea and much more.

This is a prime example of trying to make this one page rank for a vast majority of keywords. Since the page is about black loose leaf tea, why not promote that through the on and off page elements? We always like to think of each page as it's own individual element, each with it's own ranking potential. This is an issue on your site that is duplicated, even down to the individual product pages. Getting your subpages to rank, rather than just the home page isn't hard, it just takes a bit of diligence and focus on what the search engines are looking for. I don't have any doubts you can get the rankings you wish, once the hard work is put in place.

Welcome to the MOZ community! Not trying to bash the site at all, so please dont take it that way! Hope this points you in the right direction 😉

Firstly, we can't thank you enough for the warm welcome and feedback; you've all provided us with invaluable information and reiterated how much there is for us to learn here.

We're aware of the importance of driving our brand through interactive content. As has been stated, it's sometimes difficult to initially get started, but there are a lot of good resources out there to help out.

Development has been kept in-house so far, and our main focus is to really begin ironing out this side of our business. We're definitely at the right place to do that.

                Love the insight; thanks again!
