Rank tracker not showing proper rankings.
-
Just joined MozPro and pretty amazed at all of the info and tools it contains. However I was playing around with the rank tracker and just to test it I put in a keyword and a URL I can clearly see that is ranking #2 for the keyword. Went I ran it through it said that domain wasn't ranked in the top 50. Tried it again and made sure to put in "http://www." and then it said it was #50.
I can clearly see it is #2 for the keyword. Wondering if I am doing something wrong?

Hi Adam,
When you're looking at the ranking on your own computer, are you using an incognito browser where you're not logged in to the search engine and don't have any search history?
For the keyword, is it a local result? Plain search result? Image result? On occasion, that can also trip us up.

The result is the same whether or not I use an incognito browser. It IS in fact a location based search and is a plain search result.
The keyword is "[city] seo"
Thanks.

I took a look at your account, and the one thing I'd try is to do the www search for just the domain itself, and not the subfolder you added. I'm also going to have our help desk take a closer look at this to make sure everything is working properly and fix things if there is an issue.

Hey Adam,
It's always the little things that get ya!
You entered a root domain and the site you queried ranks for the www subdomain. I added the correct query to your rank tracker so you can check it out.
Anytime you want to check rankings in Rank Tracker, make sure you double-check the subdomain they utilize to avoid any undue confusion.

Cheers!
Joel.
