Getting digital marketing authors to submit content for publishing?

We are a new company looking at possible ways of educating our 1. Current client base, and 2. New visitors to our website.

The idea is to publish content on various online marketing topics in the hope some may find answers to their questions through the informative content we post.

By doing so we want to create a new page where we can upload regular content about new technology, digital marketing do's and don'ts, that kind of thing, BUT.... we would like to start buy asking the wider community to contribute with their content which we will share on this new page, and via various media platforms.

So my question to Mozers - do you have any wisdom to help us get started? How do we go about getting good authors to submit unique content about online marketing, so we can publish this on our site?

I go out and find a great blogger who already produces superior content and has a name for him/herself in their industry.   Then I offer to pay him/her for an article with images.  Part of the agreement is that the article will only be published on my site.  Nowhere else.  I have also found authors who are in published in print and offered to pay them for articles.

Getting content from these types of people is not cheap.  But it is better, in my opinion, to get content from an established name in an industry who knows what people need to know, knows what they want to know, and knows what people need to know that they don't know that they need to know.

If you go the cheap route of hiring someone who knows nothing about a topic but will blather out an article for $25, then you will be publishing crap.

Which author will people share, tweet, link and link?

The authors who I use will be different from the authors that you use.  My authors write about the industry of my websites.

If your websites are about wine then go look for great bloggers who post about wine.  Not just any blogger, the great ones.  Find bloggers who have expertise that match the content of your website.
