How to Get Leads?

Hi Friend,

I have a question and hope you can help me answer. What is the best way to get leads. Remember I am not talking about search ranking. I need leads on daily basis. I am doing Guest Blogging, working on a Online Classifieds Sites, Email marketing, Social Media Marketing or other stuff. But the result is zero. I don't understand what can do in this matter.

There is no "best way" to get leads, but i'll give you some basic tips that i have found to work fine:

1: Affiliates. Give 10-15% of the income from clients they send to old clients/partners/whatever.
2: Word by mouth (By far the most efficient way in my experience). Make sure all your existing customers are happy, and that you have a nice landing page they can refer new clients to.
3: Hang around in forums/websites related to what you want to sell. There is usually always some business to be had if you spend some time on this. However you should make sure that you ALWAYS follow the rules of the forums/websites when it comes to posting sales-offers/pm'ing people to sell your work. If you don't you might be banned, or just get a bad reputation as a spammer.
4: In your field: Make sure to have a good portfolio. If you are doing guest blogging future clients really do need to see that you do good work before they will buy anything. Same goes for anything else really. A good portfolio might close a lot of deals.

It really depends on what you do but most our leads from customers come from ppc - Is this for your webdesign business?

KLLC, please share what business you are in. For example, if you're selling military drones to governments, none of the things mentioned on SEOMOZ will help you..

In web design word of mouth is key, just like Host 1 said above. If you deliver excellent work for your clients, referrals/leads will come. Instead of social media marketing or emails, I would suggest to use this time to volunteer free design work for charities or startups and let them promote you (happy to point you to a couple or them if you don't know many at this stage).

In your space you need to show people your good and help out in communities.

I would also try to focus on one niche type of site and get known for it in the industry  or find someway to differentiate yourself.

I would reach out to marketers and "I.T" people who dont build sites and try to get them to refer you.
