Why is my domain authority 1?

We just change our website for a new one an our domain authority fall down to 1. Should I be upset?
Thanks

Hi Claudine
When you say that you have just changed your website for a new one, did you also change the domain name to a new one? If so, that is the likely cause as a new domain has no basis to have been awarded any authority.
Also, it is a new domain, what did you do with the old domain and the pages on the old site? Have they been 301 redirected to your new site and pages?
Peter
[Edit]: Just checking the domain you have listed in your profile: exomarketing.biz that shows as being around 4 years old and in Open Site Explorer it has a domain authority of 31 so I assume this is not the site you are referring to?

Hi Peter,
Yes, we change the domain name for a new one. The old url domain is still active (but not online) and has been 301 redirected to the new url.
The new domain is exob2b.com.
Thanks

It'll take a little bit of time for OSE to catch up and see the 301 redirects. For now, don't panic!

Hi Keri,
Do you know how much time it take?
Thanks

I don't know exactly. We've been releasing an index every couple of weeks recently, so I'd wait at least a month before worrying. Do make sure that you have all of your redirects set up properly, so that the search engines know where to find the new site.
