      Hello everyone,

we are strugling with low number of internal links on most of our pages.

For exmaple page http://www.nejlevnejsi-knihy.cz/autor/jo-nesbo.html according to OpenSiteExplorer has only 1 internal link. I checked number of pages really linking to it and it is more than 50. All linking pages are listed in sitemap and exist more than 6 months.

      Thanks for your help!

      Kafka

Great question! While Open Site Explorer maintains an index of 109 billion URLs across 162 million root domain, unfortunately it doesn't contain every link on every page.

Pages with low authority (PA) or pages without a lot of external links linking in, may not be included in the index. In general, these pages tend not to influence rankings very highly.

To get a full crawl of your site, you could start a campaign of the domain using Moz Analytics. This doesn't mean these URLs would be included in OSE, but you should get and accurate crawl.

To increase the number of pages included in OSE (which would increase your total internal link count) the best way is to increase the number of external links to the site, and flow that link equity throughout.

Hope this helps! Best of luck with your SEO!

As Cyrus mentioned, OSE does not account for every single link in the world.

Your website at the moment is very small in comparison to other sites, and Roger simply cannot find your tiny links amongst the rest of the web!

          Needle in a haystack.

          HOWEVER.

Open Site Explorer isn't the only way of finding this information. Analytics & WMT are both relatively good for finding links, both internal & external. If you can physically see and count the links on the site, then you just need to wait for Google to index them - you can check this in WMT.
