What's going on with Moz Post Comments?

I think by default it now sorts by the highest rated comment:

Comments are sorted in the order of how many thumbs up have been given.

Comments that have been awarded "good answer" usually go to the top - unless they are subcomments.  They stay in the order of thumbs on the original comment.

There is a button you can tick to sort by date. This is one way to help good comments bubble to the top, reducing the incentive for someone to be waiting for the post just so they can make a comment and be at the top of the comment list.

edited: you should also be able to go to your profile and choose the comment sort order for all comments.

I agree that this method makes conversations harder to follow. There's been a huge uproar on Facebook lately about this as they've done this with the "reply to comments" function and it's screwing up conversations and making them impossible to follow.

I'm not sure if it's as big of a problem here but it's definitely the same issue.
