All I can say is wow, never in my wildest dreams could I of ever imagined SEO coming to this.
I ranked Cheap SEO Service in less than 24 hours to rank 1 in the world I also hit rank 2 for cheap SEO Services, inexpensive SEO services, and many others.
All I can say is that this is beyond crazy and I am not sure if I am ready to release this to the public yet or not and maybe I shouldn't.
This new tactics is 100% white hat and very ethical. You can analyze my site all you want, you will never even see 1 anchor text for cheap seo service at all nor will you find it on my site anywhere. No I didn't 301 sites to my site, no I didn't hide links, etc, etc.. This is real and it's legit.
Now to find out if the ranking's stay. I will be curious to see if they do and if they do drop to see how fast I can rerank them again.
I have ranked 1000's of keywords from low comp to very high comp keywords and never before have I ever come across a tactic like this ever.
All I can say is hold on and get ready for SEO to change!

I would suggest sharing your tactics and results or just keeping it to yourself - not just boasting without any evidence or details, it just leads to skepticism.

I read that your a big proponent of exact match domains and anchor text link variations and I will assume you made good use of those on this site. I would echo that this board is for sharing ideas and not boasting.

Matthew, if you would like to start a discussion about this in the Q&A forum, it would need to be a question of some type. I would suggest including your URL, evidence you have of ranking, double-check how your statements are worded (number one in the world makes it seem as though from anywhere in the world, with any version of Google, that site is first), etc. Be prepared for some skepticism and push-back, as that is a fairly big claim you're making.

Sorry you are correct. My question is, has anyone else experience this kind of rankings? Maybe I should of put that above, but I am kind of all over still finding what I did.
I thought this was a discussion area as well and I would like to discuss it with others as far of what is going on and if others are experiencing this as well.

I thought everyone could see my url by clicking on my name? url http://www.affordableseo-services.com Check all you would like, this is very legit and it's all evidence. You will not find 1 url or the keyword on my site.
Also I was never even ranked on a deeper page like 10, 15, etc etc, not at all. I have ranking reports to prove everything 100%.

Well, I am not 100% all for exact match, but they do work still. I didn't make use of this at all. The domain is about 2 years old and you can now see it below in the other thread.

It is fairly difficult to discuss when we don't have any information to discuss. What was you ranking before? How quickly did it move? What did you do?

Where is a good place to post this here in SEOMOZ ? I have evidence and I am more along the lines wanting to discuss this instead of getting an answer, because there is no answer for this really, it's more along the lines of a full discussion. I want to learn more if others discovered this.

It wasn't ranked, I had no rankings at all to it ever. I don't even have a backlink to the keyword. I only attempted to get it for 1 day ever.

Ok, a good question then might be how closely Google views "affordable" and "cheap", and how you're doing with the spammy links. In this thread at http://www.seomoz.org/q/seo-best-practice-use-tags-for-seo-purpose-to-add-or-not-to-add-to-sitemap you mentioned that " We also rank for many terms for our main SEO company that are very competitive here in the US. We did hold rank 1 for Affordable SEO until I woke up one morning and someone spammed our site with 1000's of bad links, so we have been working on getting that back up, but it happens."
Or do you have more than one SEO site in question?

Ok sounds good, I will make a better post with a better question. Very sorry I wasn't trying to just get attention on this, I could post it on a lot of other places to do that. I was merely trying to give everyone a heads up that something big is going to come soon. I could recreate this on a site in less than 30 minutes. I will do this to a few other sites / niches that have nothing to do with relevant terms and come back with some proof that it's not just the same type of keywords etc.. I think have been doing this for about a week, but just realized it. I also did this with a term that is 27,000 exact hits a month, but will get some proof together. I was just excited that I found this, maybe it's not a good thing and maybe it's not long term, but I did find it and it could be a large issue and mess up SEO if this got it. A person that has 30 minutes could easily do this. Have a great night.
Also I have my site added in the SEMOZ tools and you can see my rankings for the last month and a half. You can see that I wasn't ranking for any terms.

There could be loads of reasons for this.
Personalised search results? I didn't confirm you are number 1 but maybe just number one in your google results
New domain given a big boost in google. Usually drops off within 2-3 weeks
Google is going through some major serps upheaval at the moment and there is a lot of spurious links ranking highly. Maybe you are benefiting from this.

It's not just my Google results I am very aware of clearing cookies and not being logged into Google while manually checking. I also getting daily updates sent to my email with my ranking software I use.
It's not a new domain, it's 2 years old
Yes it could be the changes, but I highly doubt it, I feel that what I did, because it was the day before. I also feel that I did this with a few other sites, because they all happened overnight. and separate days of the week when I did them.
This isn't some kind of trick, we work on 1000's of sites per month and know a crazy tactic when I see one and this is crazy. It's not your average do a press release and you rank for a day high and then fall because you did one. Or get a new domain and throw links at it quick and you rank up for a few days and fall. This is a tactic that I honestly feel would ruin SEO overnight. Maybe it would get patched quickly, maybe it wouldn't. I just hope it doesn't fall into the wrong hands...

I looked at your site in openexplorer and you have 6 inbound links with the term cheap seo services. So it's not true that you haven't links for this.
Also it's a myth that you need exact match keywords. Google knows that affordable and cheap are interchangeable.

If I do have them, these couldn't be recent links, and as we all know variations also don't rank up the same.
For example look at who's ranking for seo service and seo services. There are two different sites.
I personally don't see other site ranking like mine for the affordable and SEO terms and there are many SEO sites going for them. I agree that they are similar, but I feel that they are anticipated different due to both of them being a bit competitive. They aren't the easiest to attain rank 1 for, but not at all the hardest either.
I said I have no backlinks for cheap seo service. I may have a few for cheap seo services, but 6 shouldn't matter compared to 80 + high quality links the other site that was in first did have. Plus the quality of the cheap seo services links are low. If I remember right they are on a inner page of a site and not even on the home page. So I am guessing that the links don't have over a pa of 20 right now. So this would go against everything we go by here at SEOMOZ.org correct?
Ok if that doesn't prove, then what about this keyword inexpensive seo services that was overnight as well. I don't recall many if any backlinks to this. I also don't have any onpage for any cheap term or inexpensive term.

If the changes happened 16th/17th like you said I would wait to see if they are part of the latest google update which is looking like it's half way through.
openexplorer takes 1-3 months to show links but google responds within days so it could be that you have a really powerful link or two recently added.
Keep watching the serps but in the meantime make the most of the position.
Without you divulging anything else about what you did then it's a guessing games and all the guesses are "could be's"

Yes it was the 16th through the 17th. Also I feel that the updates started the 11th. I have a site where it started to lose a lot of backlinks on the 11th and before that it lost 0 for 3 months. During the 11th to the 16th it suffered a loss of 1800 backlinks. Terrible, but it lead me to feel that it was the updates doing it.
Well anyways, I am not claiming to be magic or something, this is an easy task and I am 100% sure you could do this and many others.
I would like to release what I did, but I don't feel it's a good idea to, unless we want to lose business. If SEO was easy no one would need us for the grunt work it takes to rank keywords up.
