.co.uk/index.html or just .co.uk - my on-page reports are different for both - why?

It looks like the same thing, yet it has a different on-page report for each version - why is this. Please share your ideas with me on this.

They are the same url with different addresses, I can tell you on my sites i add code to the htaccess file to redirect the /index to the actual home page url, this removes the fact that you have duplicate content as both pages are the same & stops both types being indexed, recommend you Google this problem to get the right code for your host server as they do differ. Hope this helps but might not be what you where looking for.
