Are Non Followed links good or bad for my website?
-
I have 3,000 followed links and a 1,000 non followed links. The non followed links are from an advertising campaign. Do these hurt or help me?
Thanks
Ron

Any links are helpful, and for many reasons. No-Follow links help to diversify your link portfolio, if all links were followed, it would look strange to the search engines. Having a good mix is more "natural".
Same goes for getting too many links all at once, doesn't look natural.

Hi Ron,
Just to reiterate Keith's response... The NoFollow links won't harm nor help your rankings! But like keith said it is important to have a diverse and natural link portfolio both in terms of follow/nofollow and anchor text.
Had your advertising campaign used followed, links you may have had a problem as Google could view these as paid links.
