Negative SEO?

Can a competitor do negative SEO on one page or URL to get it de-indexed?

Forgive me, but my first thought is that posting such speculation in an open forum is not the wisest or most prudent course of action.
I have been involved in sensitive situations with law firms and hedge funds and private equity firms...and their competitors. And I would never talk about them here. Ever.
May I gently suggest you take this post down?

I highly doubt Negative SEO was used on your post. Unless you can see / gather off site data the would prove otherwise. Google likes fresh content, and will normally rank fresh content high for a few days and is common for that post to be dropped after awhile.
On second thought, looking at your back links through Ahrefs I wouldn't rule out the possibility you could have been sabotaged.

I think that is pretty fast for negative SEO.. Do you or anyone else in your company or have hired someone to do "SEO Work"?
By the way, I show that you rank #9.. "First Citizens Bank Overdraft Fees"

No, I haven't. That was my suspicion as well. It is too strange.
