Is there anyway to find referring pages for 404 errors in Google webmaster tools?

It used to be so easy to do before the redesign but does anyone know if Google are still sharing the data?

Just as an FYI - I've read and implemented this post - http://www.seomoz.org/ugc/liberating-your-data-from-google-webmaster-tools-a-step-by-step-guide .

What type of site software (if any) is in use? If you are a WP user, then Yoast created a tool which is very helpful in this regard: http://yoast.com/wordpress/google-analytics/

I would also recommend reading Yoast's guide on how to not only track but prevent 404 pages (by locating similar URLs on your site and auto-redirecting users): http://yoast.com/404-error-pages-wordpress/

If you use Joomla, I am about to release a completely free 404 live error tracking software. The 1.0 package is done but some adjustments are being made to comply with Joomla Extension Directory guidelines.

In GWMT go to health -> crawl errors and click. "not found". Then you should click on a link that has an error, and select "linked from" (or something similar to that).

You will see other pages with links to that 404 error page.
I hope this is enough info. If not, just contact me.

Exactly what basjereon said but I thought I would get you a few screenshots.

Choose the error by clicking on it --> http://www.screencast.com/t/ijsJlcdGW

Choose "Linked From" tab --> http://www.screencast.com/t/uxRVQmpgo

That will show you where Google picked up the 404 link.

              Ah, thanks all.

I think I'll rephrase my question to be - how do I get ALL of the referrers without having to click on the errors individually?

              Anyone know?

I don't know of another way in GWT but you can do it in CSV format in SEOmoz tools.  I know that SEOmoz 404's is different than what you probably see in GWT but you can run a on-page report and then download the CSV report. Sort the report to show all the 404 errors and in the last column you have the referrer.
