Need mobile sitemap help

Google's own mobile sitemap includes the last mod attribute http://www.google.com/mobilesitemap.xml  - as long as you follow the sitemaps.org syntax and ensure it's an actual Mobile sitemap (with mobile specific elements), you're good to go with using any of the standard sitemap elements.

I've got a fairly large site, so I'm going to need to use an index for the individual sitemap files. Do you think it's ok to just include my mobile sitemaps on my regular sitemap index file? Or should the two be completely separate?
