Keywords in the URL

Just sayin' what I would do if this was my site.
I would not allow my hypothesis about "possible benefits of URLs" dictate a redirect of website categories.... when I don't really know if these URLs will have any benefits.
Why? Because I am pretty certain that there is a loss of linkjuice and anchor text when they are passed through a redirect.

Egol, thanks for answering.
please disregard question 2, because just realized I made a mistake: all the URLs are changing anyway, because we are adding the /us/ section, as in mybrand.com/US/strock-trading-software/supertrader.
Since we have to redirect anyway, what do you think about question 1?

Mozter,
personally i would make it like you said it would be: url:/US/stock-trading-software/supertrader
Don't implement the keyword more then once in the domain name including the extensions and folder because it could be interpreted as keyword spam.
this is what i would do.

thanks do you think that /us/software/supertrader-stock-trading would send a much stronger signal than /us/stock-trading-software/supertrader ?
