WPEngine hosting

I see WPEngine now has a discount as pro member perk. I'm looking a superfast host for a wordpress site. Has anyone used WPEngine? or have any suggestions?
Thanks!

I was looking for the same several days ago. Then i did an experiment, my old bluehost + several other cloud hostings. My office walls are all in graphs, on Monday everybody thought that I'm crazy.
Vps.net cloud hosting performed the best, and I liked customer service.

Hi Sergie, thanks for the reply.. how much quicker were vps.net than bluehost? I use bluehost now.

It perfomed much much better when i loaded it. Having 50-60 visitors at the same time bluehost loadtime graph was bouncing 3-5 s load time. vps 500ms-1s.
website is light and showing 98% in google speed tool. I can even show the graphs if you are interested

Thanks serge! Yes. I'd love to see your graphs.. I've just been looking at vps.net

I'm doing some consulting for WP Engine now (helping with SEO and general marketing), and I can definitely say I recommend them. As to how fast they are, do a speed test here: http://speed.wpengine.com/
You can even mirror your site at WP Engine over their 14-day trial, and run the speed test on your .wpengine.com site vs. your current site to see if it really works well. Their support people are generally helpful in helping you tweak/optimize your site, as well.
About the only negative I would say with WP Engine is that they really don't support anything outside of WordPress. But if you have a main site or even a blog that's all WordPress, and it gets a fair amount of traffic, they are definitely worth a look!
