I understand that Google will now display search results from your google plus page if it is relevant or if it is from a friend.

But my question is  if there is weight based on the amount of friends you have or the relevancy of your friends.

For example if you search for the term 'wine' if I have 5,000 friends and many of them are wine and food critics just because of that will my google plus page show up or maybe if I just mention wine would I have a higher chance of showing up than a person who is more relevant on their plus page but has less friends or rather less relevant friends?

      Thanks!

I am not sure what you are asking Nevil.

The heavy weight is applied when friends in the searchers circle have Plus one the page.  Not when friends of the site owner have.

Yes and that is whether or not your are signed into your account the more human reccomendation +1 the more of an impact it has.  It has however an even greater impact if people you know have +1 and you are signed in.

Now relevant results from Google Profile Pages will appear in your SERP results if you are signed in and these people are in your circle of influence. So this is where my question starts Dan. If you are signed in will a bigger sphere of influence impact your opportunity to appear in results if you are in the circle.

          That is my question.

            Hi Nevil!

I highly recommend you read through this article: The Ultimate Google+ SEO Guide from AJ Kohn. He's put in a ton of work to try to figure out how to make Google+ work for you from an SEO perspective. One part that jumped out to me from the post that seems quite relevant to your particular question is this line:

Content from people you engage with more often or content that is more popular overall will rank better.

I'd definitely read through his guide, as it's by far the best one out there for info on Google+ for SEO purposes.

            Hope this helps!

            Jen
