Are links from flash sites worth anything?

I'm building some links right now and spotted an opportunity with a voiceover artists that we used for a marketing video. He posted our testimonial on his site and I plan to ask him to provide a link back. Thing is -- his site is entirely composed of flash content. Does this matter at all? Will this link still count?

If the link is embedded in the Flash part of the website, Google will have a hard time indexing it so most likely you will not get much out of it sadly. Flash components appear as a big nothing to the crawler.

That's what I orginally thought; however, Google indexed this page with text content displayed on the SERP description. This makes me think they're able to crawl flash somehow?
