We understand that some companies offering class c ips can still  be fingerprinted.. Is there any hosting site that does offer class c ips that prevents that?

Or is the best bet using privacy on all domains and then using multiple hosting companies, checking the ips they offer as you go?  If that is the case, are there any recommendations for the best host companies that offer the  least fingerprinting?

This is purely a black hat question. There is no need to manipulate IP addresses at this level unless you are attempting to set up a link network of websites. Even if you set up the perfect network with uniquely purchased domain names and unique IPs, Google has dozen of other means to catch the site as a network of related sites.

I have had multiple people approach with the question "how did I got caught" after they set up what was thought to be a Google-proof link network. Here are just a few other points to consider when setting up your network:

        • how are your backlinks acquired? If you have a group of 100 sites, and all sites are listed in Directory X, that would be a possible indicator the sites could be related. When you look at the same 100 sites and you find they have dozens of the same backlinks in place, the likelihood of a relation between the sites climbs quite high.

        • how is the coding of the site? Do the sites use a similar template? Are they all using the same exact software versions or the same snippets of code?

        • What other commonalities are there between the sites? Their domain purchase date? Launch date? Dates they began linking out to a particular site? etc.

I hear people often say "hey, Google can't catch us by saying with use Joomla because there are millions of sites which use Joomla". That is true but how many use Joomla 1.7.2? There are a lot, but the number dwindles to a smaller figure. How many of those Joomla 1.7.2 sites also use the same combination of plugins with the same version of that software? The number becomes quite small.

My goal isn't to educate anyone on how to perform black hat SEO. My goal is to share even if you implement what you feel to be a perfect network, there is likely many holes whereby Google can relate your websites. Google is very patient and if it takes them 5 months to establish the relationship that is no problem for them. Once it is established you are out a lot of time, money and effort. It's something to consider.

If you still wish to acquire hosting with various C block IP addresses, there are sites such as www.colocationamerica.com/services/seo-hosting.htm and seohosting.com which offer those services. The thing is, Google is a pretty smart company. They know companies offer those services, they know the primary purpose of such hosting is to manipulate rankings, so it also makes the sites hosted by those companies an easy target.

Wow Ryan. I was just lurking here and what you just explained is awesome!

We are all looking for those C block IP addresses, but Google wasn't born yesterday. Funny, up until I read this I had no idea that this was even a possibility.

Thanks so much. Now back to do some SEO sleuthing!

          Cheers!
