Where can I find a good definition of "link juice"?

I have heard the term link juice being used in many different contexts. Where can I find a good definition for it?

There are many different factors to do with linking, PR, Relevancy, domain divercity. When people say link juice them mean the general goodness that comes from a link rather then get specific and technical.

I prefer to refer to link juice as link equity - what is the link worth to you? This all depends on the relationship, the relevancy and the authority that the source of the link has to you.

The reason I ask this is the feedback I got from someone I was negotiating a link with. He claimed to be able to objectively measure link juice. Is there an instrument that can do this. Based on what I read in the responses probably not?

No, you would have to calculate the whole internet.
He would be talking of PageRank only one component of Link Juice. And still the answer is No

We know the roughtly how it flows, but not exacualy, and the caculation involve every link in your site and evey link in every site thart links to you and every link that links to them and so on.
OSE tyries to do this, while it is a good effort, probably the best effort so far, but is still only a indication.
