Using PR Web for client new releases
-
I am wanting to get more news out about some attorney clients and provide mechanism for back links. I have one attorney client who just got a large award on a new issue and another who just had a case made as a precedent. Obviously, both are big deals in the legal community and potentially to new clients.
I read yesterday that PR Web was hit a bit in latest Panda and wanted feedback from those who have used it as to efficacy and thoughts on Panda reasons. Thanks

I haven't noticed any negative effect from using PRweb and vocuspr. In face a lot of my higher quality links are still coming from them. Just so long as the information is newsworthy and genuine Google still looks at it as a healthy link. often times if the release is to heavily loaded with links and anchor text all of the links may not be indexed and it won't get picked up. My rule is to only hyperlink 1 keyword phrase per 100 words.
Hope this helps!

Robert,
Great question.. we've seen a hit from our PRweb releases as well.. over the last few months i've been testing our releases on a variety of platforms including prweb, vocus (who owns prweb), and businesswire. So far, business wire has been our greatest success both in terms or reach, and views from the press release AND seo. The main issue is the cost associated with businesswire.. it is substantially more expensive, but exponentially better.. that being said, google could hit them with the next panda update.. nobody knows. This article may be of interest for you
recap: Warren Buffet owns businesswire and patented the seo strategy for press releases.
