Thinking of redirecting *all* mobile traffic to another site (via an advertiser) - safe to do?
Not necesesarrily. If he has no suitable mobile content (for example videos that can't play on mobile devices, or pictures / sites that are many MB in size (adult content, lots of pics probably)) but the other site has - the user would profit from that.

Rename a SiteLinks Title on Google
The following is from Google: http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=47334 At the moment, sitelinks are completely automated. We're always working to improve our sitelinks algorithms, and we may incorporate webmaster input in the future. There are best practices you can follow, however, to improve the quality of your sitelinks. For example, for your site's internal links, make sure you use anchor text and alt text that's informative, compact, and avoids repetition.

Why Do People Send In Fake Form Submissions?
I have seen this lately on one of my clients' sites. The other thing I can help but wonder about is in doing research in Compete on search referrals to various sites, suddenly much of the data is total nonsense. For example, here are some of the top terms supposedly generating traffic to a popular inbound marketing site: medical coding tn real estate bankruptcy lawyer ventura ca auto detailing boston Or could this be the result of URL masking? Some sites results are complete nonsense, so that I can't tell that they get any legitimate search.

Buying Links
Thanks Guys for all the advice! I am now more frightened then ever. But in a good way. I am sceptical that the only best approach is asking other sites to link. I just wonder if that approach if done by these big SEO companies, I doubt they go to each competitor and offer them tons of money for a good backlinks. But I know that is the White Hat approach..... What else would be good white hat methods to find backlinks that do not take too much time? possible a service? I am also trying to get my blog up in the ranks too. Maybe its a good idea to play russian roulette with the blog first.

Are unusual chinese links likely to be black hat?
Like anywhere now, there are black hat sites / directories and white hat of the same. Typically, if the links from China are similar to a linking scheme you'd see anywhere else, it's best to avoid the possible short term benefit you'd get in going after those links. Although you probably already have, I'd continue to look for link opportunities from the first ten listings instead of this one.

Do Friends Let Friends Sell Links?
Read http://www.seroundtable.com/sponsored-links-12978.html for an interesting perspective from Barry Schwartz about the paid, followed linked on Search Engine Roundtable. They've been there for years. He refuses to turn them nofollow, and says "There is no doubt that if I removed the links, my traffic would likely increase by 25% to 100%." There are over 100 comments on the post as well.

Drop in non-branded organic search April 1
What happens when you look at non-branded organic search by engine? I want to make sure that we're talking about a Google dropoff here, and not that suddenly you've been de-indexed from Yahoo and Bing and we're looking at the wrong issues. Were there any code changes to your site recently where something might have gone wrong? Did you run Adwords or some other type of paid search advertising that wasn't correctly tagged (thus showing up as organic) that ended and is now showing a huge drop?

Does the site have duplicate, overlapping, or redundant articles on the same or similar topics with slightly different keyword variations?
The answer depends on a few factors. Step back and take a fresh look at each page. Don't think of it as the page's author or webmaster. Think about it from the view of a user who searched for a phone and landed on the page. How much information is what the user was hoping to find? How much of each page is repeated keywords that have nothing to do with the page's content? How much of each page is duplicated information that will be found on every other page in your site? It comes down to percentages. I do like your pages. They are clean, easy to navigate and well-presented. The only concern I have is the sidebars with the points mentioned. I do not see how Google could have any concern with your content unless you have other duplicate pages on your site of the information. I just took another look at the links you offered. While there is some duplication, it really is not much.

From page 3 to page 75 on Google. Is my site really so bad?
I would have thought G wouldn't be keen on that sort of thing anyway, just based on what's acceptable in Ads for Adwords, they don't like stuff like !!! there so they're bound to see it as spammy in a title too. The site is hardly what you'd expect for a professional corporation or anything but I've seen far, far worse in terms of spam with good rankings lol... mind you, that was before Panda, maybe it's more stringent on that front now.

Google Bombing For A Specific URL
Hi Dunamis, I was wondering about the same. If Google sees historical search queries using "Term A" + "Term B" would it associate both the words so strongly.. that even when only one of the search term is being used the others relevance still gets quantifies? Hard to believe Google could be going something like this. Still an open question for now. Let's see if we get any more explanations.

Is a directory like this white hat? Useful?
The directories with clear prices on the home site are not as good, because even if does not result in penalties, much of the SE can identify, and take the relevance of external links. Furthermore, this is a directory PR 3, not so high to run any risk, if greater than or equal to 5, you could think about it. Another aspect is it has many links, which divides the relevance of external links, one less reason to pay for it. Hope this has helped.
