  • I see tons indexed, 2460 pages or so. https://www.google.com/#hl=en&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=site:CantStopHipHop.com&oq=site:CantStopHipHop.com&gs_l=hp.3...565.4572.1.4705.10.10.0.0.0.0.350.2428.2-5j3.8.0.les%3B..0.0...1c.coVjtDePC4A&psj=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.&fp=3a12f3b3a101c317&biw=1920&bih=968 You are missing meta descriptions from your pages, i would add them. Maybe Google isn't crawling your site as much, if it's not a news article where speed to indexing is a major issue I wouldn't worry about it if it takes 6 hours to get indexed, google does it when it wants it's got millions of sites to crawl.

  • Actually, we did recover from the original Panda hit last December so "YEEEEHAAA!". We combined a bunch of similar categories and started writing descriptions for categories that were missing them. Unfortunately, we got smacked again by Panda 3.7 in June and haven't recovered yet.

  • Interesting suggestion from SEOSHARK regarding citations, but, basically, Google does the choosing when it comes to what they display about your business. Is the title you don't like actually incorrect (such as incorrectly listing your business name)? If so, you could try reporting this as a problem to the Google and Your Business forum, but if there isn't actually anything incorrect in it, you're pretty much stuck with what Google considers to be most relevant. Sorry not to have a happy solution on this one.

  • you can be logged out and still see these results. In order to see real results you will need to clear the browsers data of the browser you are using. And yes you can breath again, lol this has happend to me soo many times in the past...

  • It absolutely stands out, consistently as the top.  So basically, you're telling me that an enormous portion of my web traffic is unaccounted for (in my case about 25%). Yep, if I add Keyword = (not provided) to this chart, it's pretty clear.  And it does look like it's wreaking havoc on my reporting. Thanks a ton!

  • Should take a day or so. Everyone who has done enough sites has made a mistakes like this (believe it or not, Google is eventually forgiving on most things). The tough part is waiting...

  • When I faced a situation with several hundred pages, I decided to to only list the most important ones.  I determined the important ones by there presence in Google and the import of the page content. I first Googled "site:www.example.com" to get a good idea of what was indexed. I used Analytics to see if any pages were entry pages.  If a page gets no hits as an entry page, the 301 redirect is never needed. I made a list of about 100 redirects, then made the 404 error page a slight variation of my homepage. Now if you have any pages that have links in, you will need to maintain those redirects.

  • Thanks for your reply Nakul. I actually want Google to index both - one for each audience. We had "no follow" on one of the sections until yesterday.  But, now that's been removed, I'm concerned about the duplicate content and titles.

  • I actually meant the new one- not the option that was in Labs. You can access it through: Optimization>structured data , in the case of the domain I was referring to ( large ecommerce site). It does show the data and the URL that it is on.

  • I would say this is not an issue, Google is able to see and match images, but I would assume that these only make up a very small percentage of the overall page which isn't going to set any duplication alarms ringing. If you were worried you could always change alt text and filenames, but I really don't think this would be a major issue as long as all the text is unique.

  • Hi swimwithfishes, I would imagine that recently they have been a bit more focused on responding to these with all of the updates and shifting rankings recently. I haven't seen many very personal emails from them, as Gary said their first point of contact is usually an automated email. It does strike me as odd that you have had two conflicting responses. A bit more information might be helpful.
