SEO vs 301
It would depend if you were looking to make the new URL your primary site and close the other down completely. If it is an expansion and you plan to forward all of your traffic there and don't care if your other site loses ranking then that's okay. As a rule I recommend using 301's as rarely as possible. Your best bet would be to build up some content for your new site before you roll it out and just link to it from your existing site. Google has changed the game a bit this year and they are really looking at content rather then instant link juice. Building a good link profile and posting some good, unique content on your new page is going to do 10 times the work a 301 would and has a 0 risk level. I hope that helps!!!!!!!!!

Is it safe to publish 3 paid press releases in a single day?
Thanks for the awesome suggestions Andrew. The reason why I am asking is that my subscription with them ends on 10th. So either I spend a couple of hundred dollars to extend that subscription for another month (which I don't want to do) or I post my 3 PRs in the next two days to finish my quota for this month. Now that you tell me its safe, I'll go ahead and post them. All these three are written by myself, are fresh, genuine and meaningful. So, backed by your suggestion and experience, I shouldn't worry at all and shoot them tomorrow/day after. thanks so much, KS__

Have a problem with our home page. Is temporary 301 redirect an option?
The real questoin is : if you think your category page converts better than your homepage - why do have a homepage at all?

How to get better URL description when ranking #3
The short answer is that you write the description when you advertise via Google Adwords. You will enter the description into Google Adwords when you setup your ad(s). I agree with AWCthreads - you should either spend a lot of time learning about Google Adwords, or you should hire a firm with experience (PM if you're interested in how we can help you in this regard).

Will ranking be improved or hurt by changing 1/5 of part numbers to key words
red-widget-123 is treated exactly the same was as red widget 123. No need to worry on the difference between dashes and spaces as google treats them the same. My hunch with your product as with all other products I have ever managed is that search volume for redwidget123 is non-existent. If someone is looking for the nordictrack x7 black incline trainer for example, not a soul searches blackinclinetrainerx7. I don't think you will have a problem there and should not optimize for any possible spelling/typing mistakes because they happen so infrequently. If this non-dashed and non-spaced term is searched frequently, there is no harm in adding it to your title as it is all one word and not repeating the same phrase again.

Part Number Variations 10-10-55-P or 101055p
My opinion is that using two different variations of the same keyword in the title does not qualify as keyword stuffing. However, I would suggest that you include the part name, too, like: Part 101055, Gasket For Yamaha 2030 | 10-10 55 Just because some people may search for the part by name, and it is more descriptive.

Meta Revisit?
I tried to find the other question cause i know this one has been asked before, but I think the "Good Answer" response was something like... Google Never used these tags, some others did, but Googlebot has never, and having them these days just adds more code --- that means less code that really needs to be seen by the engines will be seen since they only crawl a certain amount of data on your site, per crawl. And I know that a few lines of code is really negligible when it comes to site load speed and maybe even crawl amount, but removing superfluous code on your site is always a best practice in my opinion. And this code would definitely qualify as superfluous code in my opinion Shane UPDATE** Found it and the answer was staff endorsed http://www.seomoz.org/q/revisit-after-metatag-why-use-it

To many on page links with ABC search
Hi Garry, I did not perform a full site analysis. You inquired about the rankings for the keyword "T shirts" so I only compared the pages which ranked for that term.

Duplicate content
Hi James If you have reason to believe that your website has received a penalty from Google, then I'd suggest submitting a Reconsideration Request once you're sure that your website no longer violates any of Google's guidelines, such as excessive duplicate content in your case, going by what you've described. It sounds as though your traffic levels have dropped as a result of significant drops in ranking. There are two main types of penalty; 'Algorithmic Penalties' and 'Manual Penalties'. If you received an Algorithmic Penalty (more common of the two) then your rankings will start to improve anyway, once some time has passed since you rectified your issue with duplicate content and have added value to your website. If you received a Manual Penalty (less likely for duplicate content issues though certainly still possible) then a Reconsideration Request would be worth a try. So once all is great & healthy again with your website (which it could be already) then decide whether or not to submit a reconsideration request based on how much time has passed since you believe you received a penalty and rectified the suspected issue. If you feel enough time has passed and your rankings haven't started to improve, then go for it. Hope that helps, Regards Simon

Yahoo Store, Is Name ranked higher that headline?
I'm going to say title is the <title>tag in the <head> section and headline means <h1> tag, is that correct? If so, the most important place to have your keywords on the page are in your <title> tag. If I had the choice of having an ok title and a great h1 tag or a great title and no h1 tag, I take the great title and no h1 tag. The most important thing you can do is optimize your title tag for your keywords, so see what the name is and what the headline is. See if either one changes the <title> tag and focus on that one, that's the really important element.</p></title>

Why our site dropped in rank for a main keyword
It's dropped enough that it's not other sites doing SEO. Lately I've been carefully adding a phrase here and there to our articles' copy to match the keywords in our titles. A while back I added "and Utah" to our home page title tag, but that was a couple of months ago. No striking changes that I can see. We have 2 other sites and all sites have an "Our other sites" link to interconnect, but that's never been a problem before. Any help is greatly appreciated

Infographic: How do I make one out of this outline?
Since it is in an outline form to begin with, why not break it up into several infographics?

Robots.txt is blocking Wordpress Pages from Googlebot?
Delete everything under the following directives and you should be good. User-agent: Googlebot Disallow: /*/trackback Disallow: /*/feed Disallow: /*/comments Disallow: /? Disallow: /*? Disallow: /page/ As a rule of thumb, it's not a good idea to use wild cards in your robots.txt file - you may be excluding an entire folder inadvertently.

Is this splitting my authority or link juice?
No, it's still a redirect. See attached image clearly stating a 302 Temporary Redirect from http://www.eco-environments.co.uk/solar-power/ to http://www.eco-environments.co.uk/solar-power/default.phuse If your developer still doesn't believe you then have them verify it themselves with this web based HTTP header check tool ~> http://www.webconfs.com/http-header-check.php 11b53yb.jpg
