Canonical Question
Thanks, as i thought the issue is something that cannot be answered until its done. I am going to leave the tag in for the moment as we are still ranking for keywords. Will however watch traffic closely and compare over next to previous landing pages. Thanks for the comment.

Do pages that are in Googles supplemental index pass link juice?
As far as my knowledge is concerned about supplemental index. Google has two types of indexes, the main index and the supplemental index. And site can be in supplemental index because of any of the following reason: duplicate content low/thin quality content lack of quality links (most obvious reason) as far as the passing of link juice is concerned so I don't think Google passes any link juice. This is the high to improve your link portfolio with high quality (irrespective or PR) links and remove all junk code and content from your website.

How do we ensure our new dynamic site gets indexed?
Hi Ryan, Mirroring what Alan said, if the links are html text links - and they should be - then you will reduce your crawling problem with Google. If you must use javascript links, make sure to duplicate them using <noscript>tags so that Google will follow them.</p> <p><a href="http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=66355">http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=66355</a></p> <p>But be careful, Google doesn't treat <noscript> links like regular html links. At best, it's a poor alternative.</p> <p>Google derives so many signals from HTML links (anchor text, page rank, context, etc) that it's almost essential for a search engine friendly site to include them.</p> <p>The Beginners Guide to SEO has a relevant chapter on the basics of Search Engine Friendly Design and Development:</p> <p><a href="http://www.seomoz.org/beginners-guide-to-seo/basics-of-search-engine-friendly-design-and-development">http://www.seomoz.org/beginners-guide-to-seo/basics-of-search-engine-friendly-design-and-development</a></p> <p>Best of luck!</p></noscript>

Trackback/Syndication
If you are using Wordpress, there is also a plugin called RSS Footers which allows you to put your link at the bottom of all your syndicated posts, so even if they are scraped they will link back to you.

Penguin update pecks at specific terms
Go to GWT and check "link to your site" for ratio that make no-sense. See attached image.Go to GWT and check "link to your site" for ratio that make no-sense, like in this image. Contact the infected link webmaster and ask him to remove your link, probably from the footer, or for the blogroll (WordPress). How To Proceed When A Portion of Website has been hijacked.
Hello, Over the years I've had a few sights hacked. I tried changing the login details however the hacker seemed to be able to access it again. In solving this issue, I changed web hosting companies immediately, and after that my site was ranking well again. Hope this helps.

Bad Duplicate content issue
Your original question had two URLs, one of where the "=" was replaced with "%3D". If that was an actual crawled URL (and not a copy-and-paste error), then it's likely coming from bad links within your own site. That's malformed, so you should definitely check it out. A desktop crawler like Xenu or Screaming Frog could help track down the culprit: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/crawler-faceoff-xenu-vs-screaming-frog

Got it - thanks. I will be making the changes over the next few days. Unfortunately, I published the site last night and it will take about 18 hours so I can't access it for a while.

Onsite SEO Strategy for a large accommodation site
Many thanks for the input Andy. Good call on less sub folders, have a few sites with this kind of structure, will change for some pages and monitor results... and yes, I just typed a not real example of the hotel name, totally agree spaces (dashes) are required. Great idea with the mixing it up too, those are the perfect kind of long tail phrases that will add up and help massively. And yes, we are looking at user reviews, but limiting it to people that have booked via the site to avoid the 'trip advisor effect' and be as genuine as possible! As for showing in the SERPs - I've seen uplift too following adding rich-snippet review data on an ecommerce site, but they are so easy to game at the moment! Cheers Simon

What tool can i use to get the true speed of my site
Hi ryan I use tmd hosting, and what they provide for me is, they when required upload a template that i can then work on to the hosting package, if the site goes down for whatever reason they sort it out straight away (although it is something they have done but not happened for two years), I spent six months trying to find a uk host but could not find one. I spoke to many of them and they were not offering the service that i required. I was thinking about 1and1 but they did not offer many services so until i can find a decent uk host i am stuck with the old host, but i am still looking as my target audience is in the UK

Event Landing Pages not ranking
Hi Cyrus Thanks for your thoughts on this. You actually confirm my own suspicions... Indeed what we decided to do next is to get rid of the AJAX loads (since AJAX indexation would give our devs too much of a headache...). And we'll optimize the links to the event landing pages themselves by putting an href around the event's title as well. I'll give a heads up when the changes have been done and as soon as I see any effect - be it positive or negative..

When Is It Good To Redirect Pages on Your Site to Another Page?
Hey there It depends on a couple of factors, I'd say. Is this a forum where users have made the content, or is it a discussion/post that has covered a similar topic? I get the feeling it's a variation of the latter, and if that's the case, I don't think you need to redirect it at all, namely for a couple of reasons: It's site content, and a variation of a similar topic, which can be seen as "related" to the theme of your other discussion (assuming that's how your site works). If the traffic isn't there in the first place, and hasn't taken off for some time - which includes no inbound links, external discussions and so on - then it's not going to be in the way of your other content. I'd use the 301 if this is a duplicate issue, and you're worried that people won't find the real target of your campaign. When you consider the themes for most sites, a lot of content is going to overlap and be very similar to other pieces. The Moz is a good example of that: so many blog posts with very similar themes; just variations of one another. Hope this helps
