Anyone Else Frustrated with the new Keyword Planner
I was doing keyword research earlier today and now see the replaced landing page. This tool is garbage for SEO and more tailored for SEM. The search volume for some terms are remarkably inaccurate. I really hope they start fine tuning this tool because it is definitely that great.

3 months of backlinks building is enough ?
Google makes 500+ changes a year which means a minimum 1.4 changes every day. And the SERPs shuffle practically every day to reflect the changes individual sites & pages have made and the changes & new pages/sites crawled & indexed by the spiders. Then there are the big algorithm changes that happen throughout the year at unknown intervals and page rank updates every few months. So don't wait for an update because they're happening all the time. Keep working at it, tweaking things, building your profile, building your presence, creating new content, sharing that content, interacting with your customers/fans/patrons/users, and so on.

What Domain should I use? - Domain authority question
I think the fact that you're running a good link campaign on the.com definitely assures me that you're in the right you should continue to build links towards the.com and use that as a clean slate. Yes I ment the .co.uk has some problems. good pick. Glad I could be of help, Thomas

Is there a difference between .com backlinks and .co.uk?
Depending on the thematics and neutrality of your content that you want to create, I would suggest adding an additional category of .edu and .gov.uk for the UK market. I actively look for and write in .gov.uk sites and this makes up about 5% of my Root Domain link profile. Not sure these days how Google determines the domain link quality of an academic and government sites but pretty sure they are still deemed as being of high quality and trusted. Granted these types of domains are tricky to get content on but worth trying out. David

Paid for News Media backlinks
It all depends on how the site works with Google. Google has a "First Click Free" concept https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/74536?hl=en http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2008/10/first-click-free-for-web-search.html Basically, it allows Google (and everyone else) to have access to new content the first time they crawl it This was modified to 5 clicks in 24 hours only http://paidcontent.org/2009/12/01/419-google-modifying-its-first-click-free-program-for-subscription-sites-5/ According to this article http://www.theguardian.com/media/greenslade/2013/mar/26/telegraph-paywall The Times is behind a full paywall. You need to do some digging, heck ask the Times. If they are not letting Google crawl it or a modified portion of it, you may not get SEO benefit "directly" (a la M. Cutts ) That said, there is a ton of indirect SEO that you can get from you. If there are a bunch of people reading the paid version of the Time, they are going to tweet about it, talk about it on FB, mention it on blogs. You will get direct referral traffic from it as well. So, is it the same as a link from a publication that is completely free an online, no. I would not say that it makes it worthless. Look at your analytics, how much traffic is coming from the Times? Does it convert well? If the answers are "lots" and "yes" - then keep doing it! The other indirect benefits that I mention are gravy.

What do you use to gather and build Links?
The best links are the ones that your competiors don't have and aren't going to get. That means that backlink analysis is not much use in uncovering them (other than maybe for inspiration). Tools like OSE (or majestic seo / ahrefs ) can be useful in picking up low hanging fruit. However it seems to be the big ripe juicy fruit further up the tree that makes a difference at the moment. The best tools for finding those are Google + Inspiration.

Dropped domains are really helpful for backlinks?
Thanks for your response. So can I remove my articles from dropped domains?

Submitting Separate Disavow Files for Each Subdomain?
No, subdomains are separate sites. They should all be verified independently in WMT and then in the disavow page you'll see options for all the sites in a dropdown list and submit a disavow for each.

Slide share and in bound links
Hi Ron, I would use the content you had planned on using with slide share and simply use a video format. People can either pause or even better there are some things from Wistia that will allow you to create a portion of video with voiceover than work exactly like a slideshow allowing the visitor to click left or right for the next segment. this way you are assured to get links Wistia is the only company I know of that has built-in Video SEO Creating video site maps so you can create something that will rank very high in Google. I would use this lab's method of syncing or you can use the playlist method in the second or third URL is really your choice. http://wistia.com/labs/speakerdeck/ or http://wistia.com/labs/chapters/ Third URL contains a different method but I believe the first link is the best method. http://wistia.com/product/playlistgoing As far as your NAP I believe that is best answered in this URL however I will do my best to describe it. What they have said is essentially it does not hurt to have that content available it might be useful so you might as well have it showing. http://moz.com/community/q/local-seo-how-much-additional-information-to-fill-out-beyond-nap I hope this helps, Thomas

Houzz Comment Links
Hey Randy, A couple things here. First, a big part of you being targeted by Google for comment spam depends on proportions - if you have 30 links in comments pointing back to your site and you only have total links to your site, then yes, that could be a problem. If you have 4500 links pointing to your site, probably not a big deal. If you have a decent size backlink profile, and the links in comments drive a decent amount of valuable traffic, I wouldn't shy away from this. If I did it, I'd just use the naked URL, not any anchor text. They already nofollow comment links so I wouldn't worry about this. Finally, while this might not be bad, make sure that you're adding value to the conversation, not just dropping in links - not worth it to upset people and get yourself blocked.

Is there any importance of email signature links from SEO perspective?
Since your emails are not indexed by Google, no. Of course, as a general business practice, what to include in your signature is up for discussion. It can certainly generate traffic. Google claims not to pay attention to Google Analytics data including traffic sources etc. so it is unlikely to have any benefit other than the direct traffic from the person visiting your site.

Should I offer our free eBook on its own page?
The conversion of the ebook download and the conversion to the product sale being on the same page put the two objectives in competition with each other on that page and can make it hard to segment your visitors. Link building to the ebook conversion page will certainly help the authority of your product conversion page and entire domain. In fact, using an ebook page as the basis of many successful ecommerce link building strategies.

Is there a Rapportive Workaround with the new gmail compose
http://feedback.rapportive.com/forums/42557-general/suggestions/3312261-support-for-new-google-compose-layout I was able to find the thread growing for the request-to-fix but no one has mentioned any workarounds, and no comments from the Rapportive team, and now that they are aquired by LinkedIn it might make this process a bit slower. But I hope this will take place soon, or Google gives us the old compose back

Unique pages per search phrase, Yes or No?
Hi there Andy, I am searching for the answer for this question as well, But So far my experience is that pages that rank for multiple keywords seem to have a added boost, which allowed it to rank 1st for the main target keyword..but to support that the page ranks on the first page for 4 or 5 different related keywords.

Blog links: Going out or staying in?
In this case not particularly. It is good practice to link out to other sites but only where it is relevant. My temptation would be to use these links to showcase work, particularly as you have some good blog content from these venues. Then within the blog articles send a link to the venue. After all that's where the pictures were taken and if the user likes what they see they may want to book it. Try to think in terms of the user and the journey they take through the website
