Re april 5th post on over optimization - need clarification blogging
Just to keep it natural so if you were to read it out loud to others it wouldn't sound odd. Just make sure you avoid hundreds of links with the same keyword specific anchor text. When you come to linking to your static pages, try and think about more than just getting those keywords into the anchor text for the search engines - also think about the real people reading your blog articles - make sure your anchor text properly describes what they will find if they click on the links. If you/re trying to move your human visitors towards your offerings then think about making your anchor text compelling and trying to get the benefits of your offering in there somewhere. Good luck!

Authority increase
Hi Alan, I have to agree with you on this, I saw it with my own eyes, Google wants user generated links... Will be very funny when all this spam sites will collapse in the upcoming update.. Good because I GET BORED TO WORK WITH NO REWARDS. Finally we get in the correct way I notice another change in the last dayS... If I put to fast the links to one site , example 5 in one hour, is loosing the ranking, this happend to my manga blog. If I put 1-2 links per day, is ranking for competitive keywords...(the site is very young by the way, and I am using it like experiment, and fun,) Any notice on the timing of the links? I saw also other site, which is older, that is ranking only if is manual the links made by me.... If I purchase link packets I dont see rankings, (to last long). Thanks for advice by the way, you just confirm my observations...

Is this going to help for Linkbuilding
Matt Williamson has some really good points in his comment. I'm going to focus more on those potentially spammy link tactics. I would only suggest using blog comments and profiles on forums that meet the following criteria: The site is somehow related to your niche, product, service, etc. You are there to add value to an already created discussion. You are there for the long haul. The site you're participating on isn't anything shady or illegal. The biggest thing to remember is, wherever you spend time building links, you better be building value too. Any link that was created 'for the link" and not because you are genuinely adding meaningful content/conversation will be looked upon as low quality, even spammy in some cases. You don't want to create a negative image of your brand to the eyes of users, likewise for search engines.

How does it take after getting links discovered by google to see increase in rankings?
I think you have to consider the scale of the enterprise; it's easy to think of Google as being some kind of video game that responds to your input as soon as you make it (note to self: make Video Game about SEO. Possible titles: Link Awakening, The Adventure of Link, A Link to the Past). Also consider the number of links you're talking about; I'm surprised you saw any movement for just five links. To me, Google's response (including time it takes them to notice) to a link is kind of ineffable. Charles' advice is pretty good. If you're solely concentrating on number of links and what affect they'll have you might be doing the wrong kind of SEO.

Is it bad to insert links to other sites and use bold on keywords?
Very good, Dr. Peter. Thanks for your explanation. I think I am now beginning to understand.

Extracting contact info from a website
I don't recall the article off-hand, but we did recently have a post with a good argument against scraping contact info in advance. If you look at the third point at http://www.seomoz.org/ugc/5-pro-link-building-tips-to-improve-scalability you'll see why the author argues for getting the contact info right when you do the outreach. As the owner of a niche site for an RC hobby, I get a lot of unsolicited emails regarding SEO services and selling of products where it's obvious that the sender has just harvested my email and has not really looked at my site. Trust me, you'll go a lot further if you actually look at the site and hand-gather the info.

How would one get on the Huff Po's "Around the Web" list?
While I can't say for certain (and Google searches were completely unhelpful), I'd bet that these links come from partnership / content share deals that HuffPo (or AOL) has made with the sources that show up in those links.

Because a domain appears twice in the organic?
I'm guessing that because they have an exact match domain, where CadeirasTiffany.com.br matches the search term "cadeiras tiffany" exactly, Google is showing additional results for their site because it appears to be especially relevant. You can definitely still beat them, but since they have a slight advantage you'll have to do a good job with both on-site optimization as well as building more quality links than they have.

Publish content on current domain for content boost or new domain for links?
I am with Moosa, placing it on another site just for links isn't a good idea. But this isn't content that will get links as it is. These aren't really articles, but rather requests for services. I am not sure how much traffic this content will bring you but if you want to open it up, I'd still recommend keeping it on one site.

Obtaining followed links - white or black?
lets say I have 2 sites (two companies I am doing SEO for) one is for a Taxi service and one is for a limo service. Would me offering my taxi traffic a link to a limo service be black hat? **no way! ** Would google look at that link as a bad link? I highly doubt it! Kink building is great and works as long as the sources are relevant. Googles goals are to make money. in order to make money they need the best search engine. In order to have the best search engine they need the best SERP's. The only way have the best SERP's is via user interaction. If the user likes the link so will Google.

Should I invite people to guest post?
Guest Posts should be unique content, so you may not get a huge response if you're site will provide little value to the writer of the content. That being said, I agree with Anthony that the benefits are there for you. If you get a really great writer that creates a viral piece of content, it will be associated with your site, and you'll get all the links for it.

Link exchange with nofollow bad for ranking?
Please note that those page that I want a link from are just "start pages". Better known as "directory sites". Those pages are very famous in the Netherlands and millions of people have it as their startpage when they start-up their browser. So no weird or scammy sites here...

How Many Backlinks Per Day
I find that a 20% nofollow rate is good also. You can also try linking in those blog posts to authority sites, such as wikipedia and other .edu sites so that you are not the only page being linked to. It also helps to provide valueable sources that way to the readers.

Open Site Explorer and comparing links of competitors , then export the differences?
No need to be ashamed at all. There are so many tools with so many overlapping features it can be very hard to keep them straight. Best of luck with your link building.
