Wordpress GD Star Rating Not Showing In SERPS
Still not showing. I think I'll uninstall it as it seems to slow down page load time significantly

The correct way to go from PHP site to HTML site?
Hi James, As Cocoonfxmedia noted, it depends a good deal on your CMS situation. For SEO purposes, there's no difference between PHP and HTML - search engines don't encounter PHP code, it occurs on the server and then the server sends the search crawler the HTML output. I'd have to see the site in question to understand what would have to happen from a SEO standpoint to ensure things carry over smoothly, but in general I'd recommend focusing on ensuring that any page URLs that are linked to from other websites (Open Site Explorer is a good way to check on this) are 301 redirected to their best replacement URLs on the new site. 301 redirecting every single URL is not necessary. I'd focus on the URLs that have links from external websites. Search engines will adjust properly for the other pages, dropping the old URLs once they get a 404 error and finding/indexing the new pages from the top-level pages. Best, Mike

Can I use Same Keyword for Multi pages Title Tags?
Totally agree with Matt here. If you create 4 or 40 pages all targeting the same keyword, I imagine you are then creating a situation for yourself where you are competing against yourself.. If they have alot of content that they are dying to get out there, then they might consider creating a blog for their company, which they can then share, google+ etc...

Is there any problem up-dating changes on our web say 2 0r 3 time in one day or sould it be 2-3 times a month
It's normal that when you make updates to your content the value of the page is changing and google recalculates it. Try to make changes only when necessary especially if you're editing: revenue delivering pages good ranking pages You can use the low traffic pages and not good rankings as a test to see what is most beneficial. Try to group all your changes and make them only if necessary. If you're doing that for freshness as I said before use articles or other pages which will gain new keywords, may be new links and build value there to flow to your listings pages. You don't want your listings to bounce up and down in serps.

Duplicate Content Again
Hi Vasco, you got many different resources on the net on how to build 301 rules on IIS, this seemed to me the most detailed one: http://www.mcanerin.com/EN/articles/301-redirect-IIS.asp However you'll better try to study a little on how it works because you'll need 301 for seo purposes a lot in your future. Best.

Google Places Problem
Hi Scott, Colin is correct as to the SERP behavior you are seeing after claiming your client's Google Place/Google+ Local page. The client's previous organic rank will be subsumed into his new blended local rank. Once upon a time, it was common for dominant businesses to have more than one listing per page for a targeted keyword phrase. In fact, they might have one or two organic spots, a local spot, a video, directory listings for their company and what have you, if they were truly dominant. Around the time of the Venice update, this changed and it became next-to-impossible to find any business with more than one spot in the top 10. So, this is something that's important for you to understand, working in Local. Either you have an organic listing or a local one, but seldom both. Exceptions to this: for some searches in categories or geographic regions where Google has very little data they trust, a business will sometimes have more that one spot in the SERPs. For example, let's say your client is the only muffler repair shop serving 10 tiny towns in the country. If he's got a decent website, he might end up with more than one spot on page one, but that's typically the main case in which you'll see this exception these days. Post-Venice, some Local SEOs did do some experiments with trying to get double page 1 rankings. Frankly, I'm not sure how well these tactics are working in 2013, but you might want to give this a read: http://www.nightlitemedia.com/2012/05/organic-and-google-places-ranking-on-page-1/ http://localsearchforum.catalystemarketing.com/local-seo-ranking/719-lqqk-incredible-shrinking-local-serps-traffic-drops.html Regarding your other question, it's critical to understand that Google views your client as being relevant to his city of location - not the cities where he serves. It's all about physical address. This has led to the development of the practice of creating city landing pages with the purpose of gaining ORGANIC (not local) rankings for service radius cities for go-to-client business models. I suggest you read this piece I published recently on this: The Nitty Gritty of City Landing Pages http://www.solaswebdesign.net/wordpress/?p=1403 Read that, and you'll be totally up to date on your client's options in this regards. Hope this helps!

What are the benefits of the URL meta tag?
I'm not aware of it having any practical value, for SEOs or users. It's hard to even find what the original intent was - most references are just lists of tags that exist. Some 3rd-party applications could use it, but I've never heard of it impacting Google search.

How to handle wordpress tags
That's true, you can show excerpt which is better - but I believe ultimately the best bet is to noindex tags. Most people end up with hundreds or thousands of tag archives, all with just a few posts in them. If you're really good about using tag perfectly, it might work - but I think most sites benefit from noindexing them.

Re="tag" Question
Hi Juana I honestly haven't seen rel = tag being used much. Here's the documentation on it. Here are examples of it being used on live sites. My understanding of it through reading those, are it should only be used for links pointing to or relating to actual tags. Like /tag/ is in the URL etc. I don't think a misuse will penalize you at all, but I'm not sure it will do anything either, unless they are actually tag pages or link. Hope that helps! -Dan

Should sub domain blog have www or non www
I believe it really comes down to personal preference. Generally, when you see sub.domain.com, you usually see the non-www version; however, it really does come down to personal preference. You are not going to be penalized or anything for using the www version. It is slightly less work for the user to not have to type www.sub.domain.com vs just sub.domain.com - but I don't think 4 extra keystrokes is going to be that big of deal. Mike
