That test in no-way proves that the link passed PageRank. I'm not sure about an href within an iframe, but equally I don't see any reason why you would do that?

The events were showing in real-time report and I waited after a few days and no results are showing under "Top Events" section under "Behavior".

It's not through an iframe, it's even easier than that. What you usually do to trigger an pageview in Google Analytics is: ga('send', 'pageview'); to do a virtual pageview you could do the same, but it's more valuable to provide a third value: ga('send', 'pageview', '/completed-form'); so you can easily find and set the goal. Does it make sense?

If your pages are correctly marked up with Schema you don't don't need to submit them to anything and even if it marked up correctly, it's still up to Google to decide if they give you the rich snippets, or not. ie. Simply having the correct markup does not guarantee you the rich snippets!

Thanks Hutch42! I was checking the real-time data and internal traffic (especially events) from our office IP are showing there, but it's not showing in stored data. So i guess the filters are working well.

Do you want to track the funnel, each variation and which direction people take? Or do you just want to see the leads coming from the landing page?

I agree with Shakur and reusing goals can become messy.  If you do have the need for multiple goals I would also look at creating one or more new profiles in Analytics.  I'm working on a large site that now has 4 profiles, each with goals that make sense within that given profile.  For example, we have a profile name based around chat with a group of chat events and goals within.

I agree with Andy. However, you could look at new visitors vs returning visitors within direct traffic. Typically returning visitors are coming back DIRECTLY to your site and new visitors (assuming they didn't see an advertisement elsewhere) aren't coming DIRECTLY to your site. That's my best approach; if I see a large number of new visitors, (assuming not a large ad just ran), then I can assume fairly reasonably that those are long tail keyword search terms.

If this is an older GA account, before placing the Universal code onto your site you should check in your Property Settings -> Tracking Code to make sure that it is set to use Universal Analytics, if not you should start the upgrade process and wait until it is complete to replace any old GA code with the new. If you have just created this account then yes, use Universal Analytics without worry.

I know it's old question but, serpwoo is probably the best KW tracker and niche tracker on the market. For $25 it gives 200 KWs, which is very good in my opinion. But the best thing about them is data they are providing (and the way they are providing it), a lot of insights without need to check other tools (time saving). All TOP20 results are shown on one diagram, you can watch websites gaining and losing rankings almost like in real time. Seeing algho updates isn't unusual also. Really like that tool too

Alternatively don't copy the content just reference it in a link then you don't have the content problem but the users can still see the content.

When you add a canonical its pretty much saying this page is a duplicate of the other page, which is fine. This normally means link juice would flow to the page you said was the original. Other options can be just linking to the original content, Matt Cutts has mentioned duplicate content isn't the worse enemy out there and as long as its not spammy it's not solely going to bring you down Take a read - http://searchenginewatch.com/article/2319706/Googles-Matt-Cutts-A-Little-Duplicate-Content-Wont-Hurt-Your-Rankings So if the content is there legitimately and its to help the user of your site just link to the original article, obviously if you're doing this across multiple pages you might want to rethink it a bit but for one or two pages you should be fine.

Do three things a) add the meta noindex b) add the search section you don't want crawled to your robots.txt file c) request url removal in webmaster tools doing the first two steps will ensure that the pages remain unindexed after you remove them in WMT
