If a website Uses <select>to dropdown some choices, will Google see every option as Content Or Hyperlink?</select>
Hi Wesley They won't see it as a normal link, but Google will try to probably crawl and process them, it just would take longer to do so. If you really want to prevent Google from crawling a link, use the rel=nofollow attribute like this on the link itself; sign in Reference here

Can i export data from my current account to a new account?
Hey Wesley, Thanks for writing in with a great question. Unfortunately, we are not able to migrate data between accounts because there is a very high risk of data corruption not only to your campaign data, but also to other campaigns that are stored in the same server. I would recommend exporting the reports from your current account for historical reference if you need to create a new account. I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. Please let me know if you need further assistance. Chiaryn

When you add 10.000 pages that have no real intention to rank in the SERP, should you: "follow, noindex" or disallow the whole directory through robots? What is your opinion?
Hi Jeff, Thanks for your answer. Please take a look to the reply above on Fredrico

I want to put 65.000 productpages on NOINDEX, FOLLW at once! Would Google mind?
I think you would be fine doing it all at once. The gradual roll-out thing Matt Cutts was referring to had to do with adding pages, not removing them. You could also use the URL removal tool to get them taken out of the index faster once you have added the noindex, follow tag. You can remove an entire directory that way in one fell swoop as long as you don't need any other pages in that directory to be indexed either. This is a smart move for a lot of eCommerce sites that like to drop ship products and use manufacturer or distributor-supplied product descriptions at a level that is not scaleable for rewriting on their own. In such cases I optimize the best performing products, get the rest out of the index, and rely heavily on category pages for bringing in search traffic. It isn't the best situation, but it's better than keeping a Panda penalty.

An affiliate website uses datafeeds and around 65.000 products are deleted in the new feeds. What are the best practises to do with the product pages? 404 ALL pages, 301 Redirect to the upper catagory?
Also see answers on Wesley's other question thread here: Should we noindex 65,000 product pages all at once or in steps? (paraphrasing)

Should you give all the posts in a Forum an unique description? Or let it empty so Google can make one with the crawled keywords .... ...

Why is Google rewriting titles with the brandname @ the front followed with a conon " : " i.e. > Brandname: the rest of the title
I've had the same issue with a few pages of a clients' website. I've also heard that it may be the title that is used in DMOZ.

Howcome Google is indexing one day 2500 pages and the other day only 150 then 2000 again ect?
Hi Dana, Thanks for your detailed explanation. Appreciate it Off course I understand that site speed is a factor for crawling (+ ranking) and that the Google bots only want to spend a certain period of time on a website. It's more like, when servers are performing almost equal every day so page loads are igual to, what could it be? I agree with your two points of considering, but I'm the type of guy that always wants to know why something is happening @Nakul: Thanks for your responds! The pages that are in and out of the index are mostly product pages. So the thing about "frequently updates" can be something. The website is pretty young so authority is not yet build as it should be for a big site. This can also be a factor cause the more authority the more time Google will spend indexing a website right Anyway, great thanks for both of your answers! Gr. Wesley

Should you use a canonical tag on translated content in a multi-language country?
Hi Aleyda, Thanks for your answer and thanks for the links. As written in the description everything will be translated, so also the title, desc, comments etc.). So we don't have to worry about anything "everything is gonna be alright" (Bob Marley) :-). In addition the hreflang annotations are a good way to communicate with Google about what is what Thanks! Best regards, Wesley

If other websites implement our RSS feed sidewide on there website, can that hurt our own website?
I am more of a layperson, and joined this site to research certain topics. I wrote a blog post on the topic of RSS feed scraping and content theft .. which if I understand it was not exactly the OP question. Having read the other answers here, however, I am actually wondering if my blog post is inaccurate ... or incomplete, and needs correction. Are you all saying that there is no harm in your RSS feed being scraped, and it might actually be helpful due to the backlinks you might get? Or are you saying that Google ignores those links as it is clear they come from an RSS feed? Or, am I misunderstanding your point entirely? THanks for clarifyingl Here is the post if anyone wants to scan it and respond. http://info.icopyright.com/discovery-copyright-infringement-detection/blog-content-theft-protect-your-blog-from-rss-feed-scrapers Thanks PS if I have misunderstood the protocol, and am not to piggyback on someone elses topic, or add a link, please advise. My first foray into this forum
