Big Increase in 404 Errors after Google Custom Search Engine Install on Website
Hi there, I think I spotted this thread over on the Google forums, but it looks like your issue is down to Javascript and the WP plugin you're using. There's no hard and fast fixes for this, but I'd recommend uninstalling the custom search plugin for now, seeing if that resolves the issue. If it does, you can either speak to the developer and notify them of this bug or try a different plugin (there's more than one for custom search). Website was given to someone else, does a "move" or something need to be performed in Webmaster Tools?
They will need to take control of the domain themselves, if you have removed all the content and have no involvement in hosting / the domain register anymore you need not worry. The responsability is all on the new owner to validate their new ownership with services like WMT.

Any SEO Penalties from Removing RSS Feed?
Robert. Thanks for the response. I hate those sites as well and hate to see how they have exploited RSS. It's a shame Google can't figure out who they are and who the real content creators are. This should save me several hours a month by not having to file DMCA complaints.
