Why doesn't MailChimp use an SSL certificate on their homepage?
Well the rest of their site which requires a login does, I doubt that a company like MailChimp is going to have any boost by switching to HTTPS for just their homepage. To state once again, HTTPS is just another very small ranking factor on top of the other hundreds they already have. It's just been in the news more than others, so in the case of MailChimp who's been an authority in e-mail marketing I doubt they'll see any big changes due to the fact that they do or don't support HTTPS.

How is Moz's DA score so high?
Hi there First, here is where you can read about how Domain Authority is calculated. Second, Moz is a highly respected business/website with tons of great backlinks and mentions all over the web - I highly doubt they are inflating their own numbers in this case. Given the industries, I can see Squarespace / Priceline & Airbnb having lower DA - there tends to be quite a bit of spam in those industries - traveling sites and CMS/blogging platforms. Moz & Salesforce are neck and neck however and I would expect this because again, they are both highly regarded and a lot of people use & trust them. Not saying that's not true for the other sites but again, I want to say this is more industry related. Hope this helps - good luck!

Would it be smart to have 2 different blogs on our site?
Ah. As outlined above by EGOL the separate subscription model should do well. Plus you'll be keeping inbound links within the blog as a whole so that should help with gains.

Did Google change/eliminate rich snippets for videos?
Yes, for the time being Youtube will be the prevailing video result. Since this is a recent change, I would imagine some of the information in the Wistia library is a little out of date. They more than likely aren't trying to mislead you. Wistia still makes sense for a number of use cases. Phil Nottingham of Distilled wrote a Moz Post you will find interesting.

Do Explainer Videos Help SEO?
That makes a lot of sense - it's kind of what I figured: videos don't help you rank better by themselves. I feel like the claim, "Having an explainer video on your web page makes it 53% more likely to show up on the first page of Google search results" is definitely misleading. As an explainer video company, we want to understand these things and provide more clarity to our clients up-front regarding Video + SEO.
