Hi Andre,

Our sub-domains has the activity like forums where lot of users are participating. It's hard to control it with broken links, external links and some spammy content. So we are interested to move the "optimised" sub-domains to sub folders and leave the others. And if the page title repeats in pages of sub-domain, is that bad  and dilutes the website transparency? For all our website pages we have give "topic name | brand & keyword" and same for sub-domain pages like "topic name | brand & keyword". Is this hurting us? Having keyword along with brand name across the sub-domain pages hurt rankings?

As we can see the below statement from Google about internal linking:

"The number of internal links pointing to a page is a signal to search engines about the relative importance of that page."

So if we interlink a page highly than other pages, will it rank on search results instead of homepage? Moreover if the page have "keyword" in URL slug...like www.website.com/keyword.

Our website ranking was good and dropped for couple of recent months. We have around 10 sub-domains. I doubt them if they are hurting us. Being said all over in SEO industry like the sub-domains are completely different websites; will they hurt if they are not well optimised? And we have many links from our sub-domains to website top pages, is this wrong for Google? How to well maintain the sub-domains? Do I need to worry about them?

Is there any tool to check how a website's internal linking structure has been linked. Some times few important pages may not linked very well and some links will be over linked. This will surge rankings...like if more links are pointing to one page? Is there any tool to check this?

I don't understand what's wrong in using disavow tool with any number of links and how it'll harm. It's an automation where link juice will stop passing from the links we disavowed and nothing behind that. Moreover if disavow tool made our push, why don't we recover even after weeks removing it? Also we hardly kept the disavow file for few days.

I also don't agree that Google gonna just ignore unnatural links and consider good links with it's algorithm. After all humans itself these days couldn't able to conclude some links; so Google doing a smart job here is impossible and it's never going to be accurate. Definitely some links will trigger the backlink profile and that's how most of the penalties have been removed by SEO experts these days by using disavow tool.

Page title: I can see in my niche, most of the top ranking pages are starting with "brand & keyword"..like I said "vertigo tiles". I can see this mostly on homepage which might be contributing better as this phrase has been mentioned more time across internet. I mean if "vertigo tiles" has more visibility, starting home page title with same will boost the rankings.

It seems you didn't get my question. There will be no duplicate content in pages. All I am discussing is about how to optimise sub-domains pages with "keyword" and "brand" at page titles. Generally we have given "brand & keyword" in all pages of website. Can we do same for pages of sub-domains? Is so many pages added with "brand & keyword" helps or kills in ranking?

Let's say a website has multiple sub-domains with hundreds and thousands of pages. Generally we will be mentioning "primary keyword & "brand name" on every page of website. Can we do same on all pages of sub-domains to increase the authority of website for this primary keyword in Google? Or it gonna end up as negative impact if Google consider as duplicate content being mentioned same keyword and brand name on every page even on website and all pages of sub domains?

We dropped on Jan 20th and dropped more in Jan last week. We haven't changed anything around the time. We have disavowed few links and removed the links again if they might dropped us; but this disavow removal does't help us. I think it's more about On-page. I can see page titles with exact match are pitching more effectively on top results. Below example is my hypothesis on monitoring the new results and comparing them:

Let's say, for "tiles" keyword, below are how old and new page title types making on top:

Old page titles: "tiles for kitchen, hall and bedroom - vertigo tiles"

New page titles: "vertigo tiles - tiles for kitchen, hall and bedroom"

Our websites has dropped almost 50 positions for main keyword and Okay with other keywords. Other pages are doing consistent for other keywords. We haven't made any changes in website. What could be reason this ideal scenario of homepage dropping for main keyword. And recent unconfirmed algo update have anything do with this?

I don't think Google penalises it. We can see # sign in many meta titles to promote they are number 1 in their sector. Like they add "#1 software for xxxxx". Even I tried it and I don't see any negative impact. I guess sings might be ignored but don't cause any drop.

We have nearly 10 sub-domains. Couple of our website top pages including homepage have been linked from every page of these sub-domains; from footer or top menu. Is this kind of linking is bad as per Google? What is the right way of linking between website and sub-domains?

Our website has multiple subdomians and domain platform is wordpress. But we haven't submitted sitemap to Google. Is this Okay? Or it's mandatory to submit sitemap? Is submitting a sitemap gonna help us in ranking improvement?

We can see now that Google rolled 2 unconfirmed algo updates this month and they are penalising spam links and sites which use Private blog networks; as said by some SEO experts. Do any sub-domains act as PBNs because of too much linking...like linking website pages from every page of sub-domains?

But as per the current SEO buzz,  internal nofollow leads of waste of link juice and we cannot preserve it. Moreover some suggests not to use nofollow internally.

If we have many non-important folders like /category/ in blog.....these will multiply the links. These are strictly for users who access very rarely but not for bots. Can we add such to disallow list in robots to stop link juice passing from them, so internal linking will me minimised to an extent. Can we add any such paths or pages in disallow list? Is this going to work pure technical or any penalty?

If there are multiple sub-domains like abc.website.com, 123.website.com, etc...and if the top pages of website are linked from multiple sub-domains via top menu or footer links; will this hurts?

Will too much interlinking of few top pages of a website from it's sub-domains dilute link juice?

How many links ideally we can add to website from a sub-domain?
