Hi Woody! Thank you!  I had to create a new robots.txt file and denied the /login/ from being indexed.  My errors went down drastically. I appreciate the help. Sue Ann

In Google's webmaster blog this year, they announced that the algorithm prefers that you use rel=next and rel=prev instead of rel=canonical. I'm having trouble understanding the way your question was worded but I hope this can help.
