Help with setting up 301 redirects from /default.aspx to the "/" in ASP.NET using MasterPages?
What was causing the session ID to form a URL (page) structure like that? It should append to the page URL dynamically "?=(S(whukyd45tf5atk55dmcqae45)" Has that been fixed? Here's something that may help: Wherever possible, avoid the use of session IDs in URLs. Consider using cookies instead. Whenever possible, shorten URLs by trimming unnecessary parameters. http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=76329

Can I put the tag in the MasterPage of my ASP.NET website or does this need to be specific to each page?
Nakul Thank you for your help - I am very grateful for your guidance. Our developer is working on removing this code. Best wishes, Chad

My homepage+key pages have dropped 40+ positions after implementing redirects and canonical changes. HELP!
Hi Chad, Sorry to see you haven't gotten any responses in the past week. In the GWT screenshot, there's a note in red, where you show your link structure (for provided links) as www.tisbest.org/default/?pc={charitycode} Is that correct or is it possible there was a typo in that URL? In the list of URLs that GWT returned as errors, one example shows the following /default.aspx?pc=youthcare, which would be the appropriate way to append the URL... the "/" at the end of a dynamically appended tag ("?") would present URL errors.

Duplicate Page Title/Page Content Errors return URLs showing strange string of characters
Chad, try speaking directly with the software's developers. They probably offer a forums or other means of contact. They will surely recognize this issue instantly even if the developer you are working with does not. This type of issue does not fix itself. I expect your next crawl report to show the same issue, unless the issue is with the crawl itself or an action was taken on your site to correct the problem.
