Hi,we are working right know with an Education Instutition located Outside the U.S. I think they would be in a possition where they could get de .edu TLD.

Right know they have good rankings in its own country cause they are working with their country specific TLD, and they rank well there. But, of course, a considerable percentage of their students are foreigners, so they are very interested in improving their interantional rankings (note that U.S is not a target market).

I was wondering if it would be ok to recommend them to change to the .edu TLD, because all their competitors have that tld too.

Whould that TLD increase their domain authority inmediatly? I know that .edu is well consider by google when it sends you a link, so it would be reasonable to think that having a .edu domain would be great, but as this domain is very related with the US and all their markets are outside the U.S, I am not sure about what recommend them.

We have two options with the store, move the French site to a domainstore.fr or keep it in the main domain  domainstore.com/fr. Of course we will work in french. I think the best strategy is working on the .fr site, but it means higher costs. Any idea about how the .com/fr would work? Are you using local domains or international ones?

we are now creating an strategy for an online store that sells alcoholic beverages and also drinks to mix with them (for example for creating cocktails).

The company is located in Spain and wants to begin selling in France. We are thinking of optimizing SEO of the online store, but it is a little difficult cause the description of drinks are really similar, and the inner text too. (Gin is Gin, and you can't describe many things about it. The brand changes, and also the bottle, but it is very difficult to describe a product like that)

So we are thinking of creating a content marketing strategy and alsoa social community using facebook and twitter, and so on.

As allways we are thinking of a blog and placing the contents there and then distribute then in social networks.... As the the products are alcoholic drinks, we thought that we could give people ideas and recipes of cocktails, and also to create videos about how to prepare those cocktails.But I am not sure about this strategy, specially about the video generation, cause as the products are alcoholic beverages, I am not sure about the policies of Youtube about that kind of issues. I tried to search on the Web and find nothing.

This kind of content is for adults only? If so, should we create it anyway? Is it worth it?

What kind of strategies will you apply to gain visibility for an store like this?

we have a client that wants to begin doing business in Italy and France. As they don't sell directly to final customer, they need to generate brand awareness first in those market.

We are thinking of a content marketing strategy. As they are a furniture company and they create a very nice product, we think we can work a lot with pictures and articles. We think that Pinterest, Picassa and flickair will all be very important for the strategy.

For sure, we know they should create a Facebook Account for each country, but what happens with twitter, pinterest, flickair, youtube ...?  Should they also create an account for each country? They are not a very big company, and I am not sure about if they would be able to generate enough content for each account if they have an account per country.

What do you think? One account per country or can we avoid that for some social networks?

I have a client that has several external blogs

www.blogsite1.info

www.blogsite2.info

and he also has the www.companywebsite.com

the main domain of course is the comapnywebsite.com. They are doing some thing wrong, because instead of generating contents inside the main domain, the create contents in the blogsites and send links to the blogsites to see those contents. So they are inviting their users to EXIT the website...

So, I told him, If you want to generate contents, please keep a blog INSIDE your domain www.companywebsite.com/blog, but keep the other ones, cause they are generating links (they are .info domains, that is not good, but they are nice keyword match domains)

Now, he told me he was thinking on copy and paste the contents from the external blogsites to the internal website. I warned him about generating duplicate content.

But.... is it really a problem? They are not in the same domain... Could google give a penalty because of that to the main domain?
