Canonicalization of index.html - please help
When you do your 301 redirects as outlined by John don't forget to 301 redirect your non-www URL version to your www URL version (or visa-versa). Here is an example of all the URLs that could be on your website. http://www.domain.com http://www.domain.com/index.html http://domain.com http://domain.com/index.html

Google SEVERE drop as of last week (oct 10) on long standing .org site
Hi again. I am just touching base to see what the current status is of this ranking drop. Did it recover? If not, I am curious to know if you moved the site to a new IP address when you purchased it? If so, was the new IP located in the same country as where it was originally, or was it different? It could be that you did none of the above. I'm just trying to see if we can rule this out as a potential cause for the drop.

Does anyone know a link builiding software that works
Your requirements for a software are mutually exclusive by definition. White hat 99% of the time means a method you have to put some effort into (research your market, find partner websites, create good content etc). Using a software means automation (no effort). Hence the dissonance. +1 to what Klarke and Egol wrote.

Someone COPIED my entire site on Google- what should I do?
The site with the most authority will have the advantage. If google finds the duplicates and recognizes them, one site could be filtered from the SERPs for some queries... or as in the Panda update, there could be a sitewide reduction in rankings.
