I have optimized my home page for the keyword "computer repairs" would I be better of targeting my links at this page or an additional page (which already exists) called /repairs it's possible to rename & 301 this page to /computer-repairs

The only advantage I can see from targeting /computer-repairs is that the keywords are in the target URL.

You mean link to a sub page, such as /computer-repair ?

That way I can always move the page if required?

When building Anchor text links what affect if any does rel="external" have on inlinks placed to your site.

Example Business Name - UberPuter

UberPuter targets the keywords "Computer Repairs" right from their home page.

UberPuter has the option to place links on 150 of their customers pages that are happy with the service.

Would it be best to place two anchor text links one with the brand name and one with the keyword anchor text in "computer repairs" pointing both at the home page or should UberPuter only place one link back to the home page for the Keyword Anchor text?

To the best of my knowledge G only counts the first link on a page as a "Vote" so my thought is to only include the single link with the keyword anchor text.

Not enough info to answer, that would depend on how many links you have pointing at the niche sites and how much traffic / revenue each website makes you per month?

If you are happy with Wordpress why change? I would not load your site up with plugins though, your blog / site will end up slow and insecure.

If you are having a bespoke site built and require a CMS I'v heard good things about MODx from a few dev's

Here are my tips on ranking well for the US:

1. Host your server in the US
2. Sign up to Google Webaster Tools and set your location to United States
3. Get some inlinks from US sites

Also bare in mind the chances are your keywords are going to be a lot harder to rank for in the US due to increased competition.

Same IP address is fine in my experience, just so long you are not registering multiple accounts for the purpose of writing reviews on your own Google Places.

I always create separate Google accounts for each clients Google Places page (unless they have multiple offices), my theory is if Google ever deleted my account by mistake or I lost a password or got locked out then i would not lose all my clients Google Places pages tied to that account.

You need to add your blog's RSS feed to FeedBurner, when you create your feed in FeedBurner it should ask you for this information.

FYI, Feedburner is system that enables users to sign up to your blog and be notified when new posts are made, it is not a platform for blogging.

I agree with THB on this, use rel="canonical" you simply want to say to the search engines "Hey this is the preferred URL for my content".

301's are for saying "Hey this page has permanently moved to a new page/site"

I would use the rel="canonical" plugin I posted for you above, it will automatically add the canonical tag for you, job done.

It looks like this plugin will add the rel="canonical" tag for you automatically: http://yoast.com/tools/magento/canonical/

View the source code after you have installed it to confirm it's working as expected.

I would just add:

rel="canonical" href="http://www.mycompany.com/blah.html" />

No need to add 301's.

Are these sites similar? Could you not combine the content and 301 each page as you combine the info into site B.

I would only considering combining the content and then 301'ing from site A to the combined page on site B if the site content is similar.

If the sites are of completely different content then leave them as separate sites.

Google have not used they keyword meta tag since about 2009 IIRC
