Meta Description
Exactly, also your Meta Description should have the terms you want to rank indepently this only will affect your CTR and doesn't affect the ranking of this page: Try to use "SSl-5 duncan" in this item and check in a couple of days I also suggest to check with Google Keyword Planner or a similar tool if "SSl-5 duncan" it's a relevant keyword in searches. If you google the terms in your Meta Description may appear the Description you want to appear https://www.google.com/search?q=SSl-5+duncan&oq=SSl-5+duncan+&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.3486j0j4&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=91&ie=UTF-8#safe=off&q=The+ultimate+overwound+Strat+single+coil+pickup

Website Traffic Drop After Switch
Hey guys, big thanks for everyone chiming in here. We did do the fetch as Google and don't have any rel canonical and we didn't move to any other domain (even kept the same IP) We've dipped down -8% in Google, which is very expected with such a large switchover but the 25-% drop in direct traffic is what has been hard to figure out. At first I thought it might search traffic masquerading as direct (as several articles have noted) but that is only down -8%. It might be technical of nature, perhaps the analytics code isn't firing correctly somewhere. I was just curious what you all had experienced with a major re-launch... Up until this point the site was last overhauled in 2007.

Can Google Crawl AJAX filters?
Thanks Marcus, are there any other options other than an HTML Snapshot? This has been getting developer resistance.

Traffic drop after Facebook push
Hi, When you say that referral traffic was unaffected - did you see the burst of traffic in Analytics or not? In webmaster tools - do you see that clicks go down to zero during this timeframe. Was there an increased number of crawl errors during this period? Was your site able to handle the traffic or did it go down - sometimes when sites are unstable or frequently offline Google temporary removes them from the SERP's until the situation has normalised. Without additional info it's difficult to judge what exactly could be the cause. I never heard that a sudden peak of traffic from one source had an impact (in the negative sense) on search traffic - normally more visits from other sources are rather positive for your rankings. rgds, Dirk

Owning a ton of domain names
Thanks for the replies everyone. I think I'll continue buying up "important" domains in foreign countries but ignore and let some of these expire that are vanity/not-used. I definitely agree on the mis-spelling issue, I have bunch of domains that cover a mis-spelling. In our Analytics one of the top ten queries is a mis-spelling of the company name.

Does moving Server (IP) affect rankings?
Hi Scott! We've experienced situations where we moved a site to a new server, a new IP address was assigned and the rankings dropped for a month or so, then leveled out and we regained all original rankings back. However, like Ryan stated, we did not make any changes to the url structures, page names, etc. in this case. Also using a site like he referenced helps a lot. You can also use this site to find out what other sites are on the server you are hosted on: http://www.ipfingerprints.com/reverseip.php We have also migrated another site to a new server, keeping the same IP as the previous server and the rankings did not fluctuate at all. I would think that the answer lies in "HOW" you perform the migration and be sure to "measure twice, cut once". As the move could be very smooth if done properly, however it could turn into an absolute disaster if rushed and done improperly. If you haven't already, check out this website migration guide. Study it. Know it. Implement it. Hope this helps!
