Moz crawl sees meta description but there are none
Problem "solved". Found out that the pages in question were timing out. So although they did not have meta descriptions the crawler, I imagine in order to not track them as missing descriptions when it doesn't know, defaults to FALSE. Now to get working on site speeds...
