Deleting Website Section, Preserve Links with 301?
Hi, Usually when you redirect to the homepage, Google will still allow it and you get the link juice. By as a best practice, that is kind of a waste because that is not where the visitors want to visit. If the visitor wants to visit website A's topic A page, the best practice is to redirect the visitor to website B's topic A page so the visitor is still viewing what they wanted in the first place. To answer your question, you still still get the link juice redirecting to homepage but your bounce rate might increase because that is not the page where visitors were expecting to visit. However, I have a question, if you are closing down the community section then how are you redirecting? I am a bit confused/lost on this part.

Ranking in Multiple Geographic Locations
Hi ITrogers, I think it's important to note that the strategy you are recommending is forbidden by Google's Quality Guidelines. Please see: http://support.google.com/places/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=107528 Specifically: Business Location: Use a precise, accurate address to describe your business location. Do not create a listing or place your pin marker at a location where the business does not physically exist. It's critical to be totally up-to-date on the guidelines because they aren't intuitive, making it very easy to accidentally violate them. The strategy your are describing of renting virtual offices where the business doesn't actually exists puts the business at real risk for penalties or banning. Also, because of the Savvy Panda's industry, (website design) he does not have any chance of ranking for his core terms in the local SERPs. Google doesn't handle website design, SEO or certain marketing firms in this way. I hope this helps to clarify things for you and others on this thread.

Wrong Page Indexing in SERPS - Suggestions?
I'm not sure how many of your /tag/ pages are ranking but if you can figure that part out, you can try doing htaccess 301 redirects for specific URLs, example: redirect 301 //tag/Milwaukee-SEO.html http://savvypanda.com/services/milwaukee-seo.html If you need further help with .htaccess and Joomla, I'm pretty well rounded with my skills. We use Joomla for a majority of our clients (followed by Wordpress.)

Changing Date Range in SEOMoz Campaign Reports?
Hi Gabe, That would be a cool feature. Unfortunately, at this time there isn't a method for adjusting reports to a specific time period. The ranking tab has an option for downloading your entire ranking history to csv. You can manipulate this data in Excel to create time-based ranking reports. As for custom reports, these are generated on a weekly or monthly basis, but not for historical data. If this is a feature you would like to see, feel free to submit it to the PRO feature request forum, where members can vote on it to put it in the queue. Thanks for suggestions, and best of luck with your SEO!
