Do you think it would work. What are the negative aspects of using a redirect?

I did see this page but I was unsure of how to guide my developer on putting canonical links. Can you help?

Thanks a lot @ParagonDigital. This issue was detected after the SEOMoz crawl of the website and they are listing all these pages as duplicate pages.

We installed a WP blog on a website and the below result is just an example. All of them lead to the same content. What's the best way to resolve it?

Social media  and SEO are inseparable. For SEO done the old school way it is now very difficult to bring a keyword to #1 and retain it especially if it is competitive. You may achieve rankings for long tailed keywords with minimal social media but it matters in the long run. Your SEO program should include different levels of social media programs based on pricing.

@Steven,  I would suggest that you blog about all extensible keywords and link from your blog post to the main actionable page. You can use related keywords as anchor text. For example: web design, website design and affordable website design do not need three landing pages. You need to group your keywords though do not try to optimize one page for more than three keywords; it is difficult and takes time.

Vijay, here are some of the questions our company asks itself to analyze the bounce rate.

1. is the bounce rate from organic, direct or referral traffic?

2. if it is from organic what keywords have the highest bounce rate? Are the visitors finding the correct page for the keyword? If yes, use multivariate testing via Google optimizer.

3. If it is from a referral site you need to analyze your referral strategy. Is the reference relevant for your business? If it is would it be suitable to send them to a more specific page or should you redo the page.

From our experience we have found that relevancy and loading time are the two mantras to reduce bounce rate. Even an badly designed website that has relevant content can hold visitors. Conversion is a different issue though.

Have you tried adding product videos and building links via those videos. These videos especially if they are done in a fun way are more likely to be shared on the social media. Just be share to get the video tags and description right!

Currently, probably the sites linking back to you are low in value and hence there is no positive movement for the keywords.

We have used press release sites particularly PRWeb with the social media option for quite a clients. It works good for ecommerce sites as we have noticed online sales going up after each press release. For the others it does not make much of a difference except increase the site traffic by 4-7%.

We use both HARO and paid PR sites for press releases. They both target different audiences.
